(Refiles to remove extraneous word in second paragraph) ZURICH (Reuters) - Moderna Inc Chief Executive Stéphane Bancel thinks the coronavirus pandemic could be over in a year as increased vaccine production ensures global supplies, he told the Swiss newspaper Neue Zuercher Zeitung. "If you look at the industry-wide expansion of production capacities over the past six months, enough doses should be available by the middle of next year so that everyone on this earth can be vaccinated. Boosters should also be possible to the extent required," he told the newspaper in an interview. Vaccinations would soon be available even for infants, he said. "Those who do not get vaccinated will immunize themselves naturally, because the Delta variant is so contagious. In this way we will end up in a situ...

Many Saints of Newark is a solid two-hour episode of The Sopranos – New York Post

Woke up this morning, watched myself a film. Yes, 14 years after HBO’s groundbreaking drama series “The Sopranos” aired its final episode — controversial to this day — its movie prequel “The Many Saints of Newark” premiered Wednesday in New York. Fans packed every seat of the Beacon Theatre, and the dress code was “business.” Some ticketholders interpreted that as Tony Soprano-style tracksuits. They must’ve thought the invite said “family business.” movie review Running time: 120 minutes. Rated R (strong violence, pervasive language, sexual content and some nudity.) In theaters and on HBO Max Oct. 1. Before the movie started, there was intensely moving applause for the late James Gandolfini, who died in 2013, and his 22-ye...

A Study Says Physical Activity Burns 28% Fewer Calories Than You Think, So Thats Annoying – Yahoo Lifestyle

If you've ever calculated the calories you burn in your workouts and wondered why they don't add up to more pounds dropped, well, turns out there's a scientific reason for that - and no, it's not just that you might eat a little more after a tough workout. According to a new study in Current Biology, our bodies "compensate" for the calories we burn during workouts by expending fewer calories throughout the rest of the day. That adds up to a lower net calorie burn than you think you're getting - by a surprisingly significant amount. The study analyzed data from 1,754 adults that told them two key measurements: how many calories each person burned simply by being alive (their "basal" expenditure, also known as your basal metabolic rate); and how many overall calories they burned during a da...

IATSE Gearing Up For Second Strike: Seeks Separate Strike Authorization From Locals Across U.S. – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: IATSE is now gearing up for a second strike against the film and TV industry. With the union and its 13 West Coast studio locals already threatening to strike over terms for a new Hollywood Basic Agreement, IATSE is now seeking a second strike authorization vote for a separate contract covering film and TV work in much of the rest of the country. That contract is called the “Area Standards Agreement” and covers 23 locals outside of Los Angeles. Both contracts – the Basic Agreement and the Area Standards Agreement – expired on July 31, but were extended, the union said, “in an effort to exhaust every opportunity to make a deal.” The Basic Agreement talks with management’s AMPTP broke off on Monday, prompting the union to seek strike authorization from members of the 13 ...

She was unfamiliar with the sweet-and-sour and "Mongolian" dishes on American menus.Over the years, Yue Huang has received many accolades, including being named one of Sacramento's Top 50 Restaurants by the Sacramento Bee, and voted the 2018 winner of Sacramento A List for the #1 Dim Sum in town.
