NIH orders $1.67M study on how COVID-19 vaccine impacts menstrual cycle – New York Post

The National Institutes of Health has announced a $1.67 million study to investigate reports that suggest the COVID-19 vaccine may come with an unexpected impact on reproductive health. It’s been a little over six months since the three COVID-19 vaccines in the US — Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson — became widely available to all adults. But even in the early days of vaccine rollout, some women were noticing irregular periods following their shots, as reported first by the Lily in April. Shana Clauson, 45, spoke to the Washington Post’s women’s news site at the time, and again this week, about her experience after getting the jab — revealing that her period arrived earlier and heavier than what she considers normal. Frequent cannabis use may be causing heart attacks in young adults: new study – OregonLive

Regular use of cannabis appears to dramatically increase the heart-attack risk of young adults, states a new study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal. The peer-reviewed study used survey data on health risks and chronic health conditions from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, zeroing in on cannabis use in people between 18 and 44 years of age. Myocardial infarction, or heart attack, was “more frequent among recent cannabis users relative to non-users,” the research found, leading to the conclusion that using cannabis more than four times per month raised the risk of heart attack in young adults. “The magnitude of this association increased among more frequent users of cannabis,” the study added. Part of this increased risk could be attributable ...

Bill Cosby accuser Andrea Constand gives 1st TV interview since his release from prison – Yahoo Entertainment

Andrea Constand is breaking her silence about Bill Cosby being released from prison. She said it was "disgusting" watching him celebrate his release “He's a sexually violent predator who basically was let out of jail," Constand told NBC News’s Kate Snow in an interview previewed on Tuesday's Today show. As for him celebrating his release, she said it was "disgusting," but it "didn't surprise me, given the level of the arrogance and having no remorse. During the time he was incarcerated, absolu...
