US to recommend booster jabs for all as Delta variant rises – Al Jazeera English

Americans are experiencing a fourth wave of the pandemic as COVID spreads quickly through unvaccinated communities. United States health authorities are expected to recommend an extra dose of COVID-19 vaccine for all Americans as the Delta variant of the virus spreads quickly across the country. The extra jabs could begin as early as mid or late September, pending authorisation from the US Food and Drug Administration, the source said. The forthcoming recommendation by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), telegraphed by US officials ...

Laura Prepon has been one of Scientology's most famous faces, but it turns out the actress left the church several years ago.  "I'm no longer practicing Scientology," the Orange Is the New Black star, 41, tells People for the first time. "I've always been very open-minded, even since I was a child. I was raised Catholic and Jewish. I've prayed in churches, meditated in temples. I've studied Chinese meridian theory." The Church of Scientology, which counts stars like Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Elisabeth Moss among its famous worshipers, has been scrutinized for its controversial beliefs. Most recently, its alleged secret practices spilled out in public amid member Danny Masterson's rape case. Leah Remini infamously left the church in 2013 and is one of Scientology's most outspoken criti...

Kelly will be presented in lurid detail for a jury in New York City. The federal trial comes after years of frustration among women who say they were sexually abused by the 54-year old singer, who vehemently denies any wrongdoing. R. Kelly appears during a hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse in Chicago on Sept. 17, 2019.  (Antonio Perez/Chicago Tribune/Tribune News Service via Getty Images) JURY IS SELECTED IN R.
