Simon Cowell breaks down as cancer survivor Nightbirde makes surprise appearance on AGT – Yahoo Entertainment

The first live results show of America’s Got Talent Season 16 took place Wednesday — with harmony trio 1aChord, comedians Gina Brillon and Kabir Singh, magician Dustin Tavella, and singers Jimmie Herrod, Peter Rosalita, and Madilyn Bailey advancing to the semifinals, while hip-hop/bluegrass band Gangsta Grass, animal act Canine Stars, escape artist Matt Johnson, children’s dance company Beyond Belief, and polarizing prop comic Sethward ultimately exited the competition. But the most memorable moment of the night was undoubtedly the surprise appearance by 30-year-old singer-songwriter and three-time cancer survivor Jane Marczewski, a.k.a. Nightbirde — who’d automatically advanced to this year’s AGT live shows after earning judge Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer, and should have been competing ...

C.D.C. Recommends Covid Vaccines During Pregnancy – The New York Times

Still, many pregnant patients, reluctant to put any foreign substance in their bodies, want more long-term data and scientific evidence that the vaccines will not have an effect on the development of the fetus, said Dr. Adam Urato, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in Framingham, Mass., who counsels patients about the vaccine. “The one question my patients ask me all the time is, ‘Are we absolutely sure that these vaccines won’t affect my baby?’” he said. Tista Banerjee, 32, who gave birth to twins at the end of June, said she chose not to be vaccinated until after her pregnancy. “During pregnancy they say that if you don’t have to take external medicines, don’t, and that you should be particular about what you put in your body,” Ms. Banerjee said. The vaccine was still quite new in Ap...

Marvel Studios Planning ‘Multiple’ New Animated Series Following Debut of ‘What If…?’ – Variety

Marvel Studios’ “What If…?” — which debuts on Wednesday on Disney Plus — marks a critical creative milestone for the MCU. As the title suggests, the show takes full advantage of the storytelling possibilities of the multiverse that “Loki” officially established. Each self-contained episode explores a different alternative storyline, like what if “Captain America’s” Peggy Carter took the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers, or what if “Black Panther’s” T’Challa had been abducted from Earth as a child instead of “Guardians of the Galaxy’s” Peter Quill? The show also marks the MCU’s first-ever foray into animation — and far from its last. As executive producer Brad Winderbaum (“Black Widow”) explains to Variety, Marvel Studios already has “multiple” animated series “in vari...

Britney Spears mom Lynne responds to critics comparing daughter Jamie Lynn to a spider: Stop – Fox News

Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne Spears, is coming to the defense of her younger daughter, Jamie Lynn Spears, after fans on social media likened her to a spider amid Britney's ongoing conservatorship fight. The matriarch, 66, shared a photo to Instagram of a large spider web outside of her home in Louisiana on Wednesday. It took no time for fans of the "Toxic" singer to troll the family after claims that Jamie Lynn, 30, had been lying about what she owns and what she’s obtained off the uber success of her older sister. "Oooh look at that! It’s Jamie Lynn and her lively home," one fan commented under the post of the silky web, while another wrote, "Awww cute! Jamie Lynn decorated her new place. Sorry, couldn’t help it." Another commenter piled on, writing that the web was "as big as the o...
