Amazon moves Lord of the Rings production from New Zealand to UK – The Verge

Amazon has decided to produce its upcoming Lord of the Rings TV series in the UK from the second season on. Although the first season was filmed in New Zealand, as with Peter Jackson’s movies, Amazon now says pre-production on season two will begin early next year in the UK while season one post-production continues in New Zealand through June. It’s not clear exactly where the series will be shot. Amazon is shipping the complex sets it built for the first season over to the UK and is currently booking stages for them, according to Deadline. The company films several Prime Video series in the UK already, including Neil Gaiman adaptations Good Omens and Anansi Boys. The move to the UK won’t be without controversy. Author J.R.R. Pushpa 1st Single: Daakko Daakko Meka.. – Pushpa Songs – Gulte

Here comes the much-hyped ‘Daakko Daakko Meka’ from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise. The makers have unveiled the lyrical video of the song a little while back. The video gives a glimpse of the world of Pushpa Raj and it catches our attention right at first glance. The lyrics depict the hierarchy of a food chain in which the more powerful creature eats the lesser powerful one. This could be metaphorical presentation of the film’s plot. Allu Arjun’s oora mass show in the lyrical video is the main highlight. With long hair, thick moustache, and cruel-looking physical appearance, he aces the massy looks. His mannerisms are compelling and intriguing. Devi Sri Prasad’s tune and composition are peculiar and they pack a lot of...

A Florida woman’s heartbroken family is grieving her death from Covid-19 just days after she gave birth to her daughter via emergency cesarean section. The woman, Kristen McMullen, 30, was hospitalized with the virus July 21, her aunt Melissa Syverson said Thursday. She was also diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home after four days, but she was hospitalized again on July 26. She delivered her daughter, Summer Reign, by emergency C-section July 27 and was transferred to the intensive care unit. McMullen was placed on a ventilator last Friday and died the same day, her family said. “That first week, honestly, Kristen's main concern was Summer and just making sure that she was OK,” Syverson said. Summer is healthy and “definitely bringing joy” to the family, who are struggling to cope with...

But, determinedly enthusiastic about an issue that can literally never run dry, she believes that there is much more to H20 than simply being an inorganic, transparent, tasteless and odourless thirst-quencher. As Martin Riese – considered America’s first certified water sommelier – tweeted: “[…]People who think water is boring don’t drink enough water.” Befo...

FDA authorizes extra vaccine doses for immunocompromised patients to bolster protection against the coronavirus – The Washington Post

About 2.7 percent of U.S. adults, according to the CDC, or about 7 million people, are immunocompromised. Some, like transplant patients, take immune-suppressing drugs to prevent organ rejection. Others have blood cancers and other illnesses that damage the immune system. Still others are on cancer chemotherapy. Making such people eligible for an extra shot, doctors say, is preferable to having worried patients seek out additional inoculations on their own. Not all people with impaired immune systems will need an additional dose as of now, experts say.
