Covid immunity is about more than antibodies — heres what else helps protect you – CNBC

There's been a lot of news around research out of New York University that suggests the Johnson & Johnson Covid vaccine is less effective against the delta variant, because it triggers fewer antibodies. And many are questioning whether, several months out, people's antibody levels will wane and require a booster shot. Antibody levels are one piece of the puzzle when it comes to fighting Covid, but they don't tell the whole story when it comes to immunity. Here's what you need to know: There's more to the immune system than antibodies The recent NYU study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, focuses on antibody measurements (in a lab setting), but that's just one of many aspects of the immune system that contribute to protection against Covid, according to Shan...

They reside in America's most vaccinated state -- 83.7% of Vermonters 12 and over have received at least one shot, according to health officials. Throughout Vermont, hospital Covid-19 units are mostly empty. Bars and restaurants are hopping again. In remote rural ...

Meghan Markle, Prince Harrys new careers, lifestyles since California move are hypocritical: source – Fox News

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have had quite a lot to say and do in their first year as California residents after notoriously stepping down as senior members of the British royal family. A rep for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed last summer that the couple purchased a home in Santa Barbara in July 2020.  "They have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors, as well as them as a family," a spokesperson said. The duo has forged ahead on their plan to work independently as seen through their recent Netflix projects through Archewell Productions and separate book deals. Their newly established lifestyle in the U.S. with two little ones is a stark contrast to the dark picture the couple describe...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Tuesday that fully vaccinated Americans in parts of the country with "substantial or high transmission" of COVID-19 should return to wearing masks indoors, citing new data on the highly contagious Delta variant. The CDC also said masks should be required of everyone inside K-12 schools while urging classrooms to return to full-time, in-person classes "with proper prevention strategies" in place. The agency recommended that all vaccinated people consider wearing a mask if someone in their household was unable to be protected by the vaccine, like those with compromised immune systems or children who are too young to receive a shot, regardless of transmission levels in their community. The new guidance comes as a growing numbe...
