Warner Bros Shuffles Fall Release Deck With ‘Dune’, ‘Cry Macho’ & ‘The Many Saints Of Newark’ – Deadline

With the fall and early winter corridor looking fiercely competitive, Warner Bros. is changing a trio of release dates in order to best position its movies. All of them will still go day-and-date on HBO Max (for the first 31 days) with theatrical. With MGM/United Artists Releasing’s 007 movie No Time to Die on Oct. 8, Warners will not play Legendary’s Dune in its wake, rather go on Oct. 22 with the all-star ensemble sci-fi pic based on the Frank Herbert novel. Dune will also be released in 3D and Imax. Dune is making its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, and it will be hitting TIFF. Instead on Oct. 1, Warners will release the Alan Taylor directed, David Chase produced and co-written Sopranos New Line feature prequel The Many Saints of Newark. Pic was most recentl...

Meghan Markle drops HRH title, Prince Harry keeps his on Lilibet Diana’s birth certificate – Fox News

Meghan Markle dropped her HRH title on daughter Lilibet Diana’s birth certificate – but Prince Harry kept his. A photo of the birth certificate, released by TMZ on Friday, revealed that the Duchess of Sussex used her birth name – Rachel Meghan Markle – instead of her royal title. Harry, on the other hand, listed "The Duke of Sussex" as his first name as "His Royal Highness" as his last name on the birth certificate. In January 2020, following the couple’s announcement that they were stepping back as senior members of the British royal family, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement they would no longer use the "HRH" title, which refers to "his/her royal highness." It is spoken and written in front of the names of princes and princesses, as well as their spouses. For example, Princ...

How Doja Cat Keeps Dodging Cancellation – BuzzFeed News

On the Billboard Music Awards stage in October, Doja Cat stood in front of a Broadway sign displaying the word “Juicy,” the title of her 2019 hit single. As the sparkly intro to the song built, Doja spoke directly to the camera, her bedazzled silver leotard winking. “Forget what you’ve seen and forget what you’ve heard because tonight I’m going to keep it real,” she said before sauntering into a medley: “Juicy,” then other recent triumphs “Say So” and “Like That,” all reimagined as a big-band stage number. It was hard not to read into Doja Cat’s impressive homage to Chicago. Sure, it made for a theatrical interpretation of her hits. But it was telling that her inspiration was a musical about provocative, misconstrued women. It seemed like she wanted us to jettison o...

CDC says more than 4,100 people have been hospitalized or died with Covid breakthrough infections after vaccination – CNBC

More than 4,100 people have been hospitalized or died with Covid-19 in the U.S. even though they've been fully vaccinated, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. So far, at least 750 fully vaccinated people have died after contracting Covid, but the CDC noted that 142 of those fatalities were asymptomatic or unrelated to Covid-19, according to data as of Monday that was released Friday. The CDC received 3,907 reports of people who have been hospitalized with breakthrough Covid infections, despite being fully vaccinated. Of those, more than 1,000 of those patients were asymptomatic or their hospitalizations weren't related to Covid-19, the CDC said. "To be expected," Dr. Paul Offit, a top advisor to the Food and Drug Administration on children...

New calculator can predict risk of being diagnosed with dementia – New York Post

You can count on Canadian researchers to build a calculator that can predict your chances of developing dementia. Researchers at the Ottawa Hospital, the University of Ottawa, the Bruyère Research Institute and ICES developed an online calculator empowering people over 55 to understand how they can reduce the risk of being diagnosed with dementia in the next five years. This is the first tool designed to predict dementia, which refers to loss of memory and other thinking abilities that interferes with daily life, on a population level. Over 6.2 million Americans over age 65 live with dementia and, in Canada, more than 76,000 new cases of dementia are diagnosed yearly. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alzheimer’s and dementia deaths increased 16% in the US. ...

Maps Show North Americas Growing Tick Invasion – Gizmodo

Photo: Getty Images (Getty Images) Here are some terrifying images of the growing tick threat in North America, courtesy of NASA satellite data. The images accompany recent research showing that warmer climates over the past two decades have allowed Lyme disease-carrying deer ticks to survive and spread farther into Canada and parts of the Northern U.S. Using data from Kotchi’s study, this map shows how the risk of coming across Lyme-carrying ticks has changed in parts of the U.S. between 2000 to 2015. Photo: NASA Earth Observatory In February, researchers led by Serge Olivier Kotchi of the Public Health Agency of Canada published their study in the journal Remote Sensing. They created a model to map the spread of Ixodes scapularis, the black-legged deer tick and primary vector of...

Wendy Williams under fire for saying death to Britney Spears parents after singers court testimony – Fox News

Wendy Williams is in hot water after she wished death upon Britney Spears' parents Jamie and Lynne on the heels of the singer's court testimony about her conservatorship. During Thursday's episode of "The Wendy Williams Show," the talk show host waged support for Britney, who told a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Wednesday that her conservators, including her father, have blocked her from removing an IUD, forced her to go to rehab and to take lithium. "How dare you, Mr. Spears. You had me fooled. And you too, Mrs. Spears," Williams said during the show. The host then said, "Death to all of them," prompting gasps from the audience. The clip has since been edited out of the full episode on the official "Wendy Williams Show" YouTube account. "You went too far, @WendyWilliams. Suppor...

A New Documentary Exposes Ghislaine Maxwell – BuzzFeed News

The friendships with rich and powerful men — Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and Prince Andrew — came under renewed scrutiny; headlines trumpeted alleged travels in the so-called Lolita Express, the airplane reportedly ferrying underage girls to Epstein’s private island. Epstein’s subsequent death by suicide in prison that summer — under questionable circumstances —...
