Allison Mack says her role in Nxivm sex cult is the greatest regret of my life – Page Six

Now she’s sorry. Nxivm sex-cult “slave master” Allison Mack apologized “to those who have been harmed by my actions,” in a letter filed in Brooklyn Federal Court ahead of her June 30 sentencing. Calling her devotion to deranged Nxivm leader Keith Raniere “the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life,” Mack groveled, “I am sorry to those of you that I brought into Nxivm. I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man.” The former “Smallville” actress served as a top member in Raniere’s depraved group — in which women were branded like animals with his initials and blackmailed into having sex with him. Mack, 38, pleaded guilty in April 2019 to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges, incl...

Springsteen on Broadway reopens in NYC, faces protest over vaccine segregation – Fox News

Protesters demonstrated outside rocker Bruce Springsteen’s "Springsteen on Broadway" show in New York City on Saturday night, complaining that only vaccinated fans were being allowed inside the theater, according to reports.  The demonstrators held up signs with messages such as, "Bruce Springsteen is for segregation on Broadway"; "We demand Equal Rights"; "Vaccine Mandates violate Bodily Autonomy"; and "My Body My Choice," a sign more frequently held by women advocating for abortion rights.  Concertgoers for the sold-out show were required to produce proof of vaccination to enter the St. James Theater, according to NJ.com.  "Springsteen on Broadway" was the first show to reopen in New York City’s famed theater district after it shut down last year because of the coronavirus pandemic,...

Queen invites Harry and Meghan to Jubilee, but their roles are unclear – Page Six

Queen Elizabeth II extended an olive branch to grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, inviting the couple to join the royal family for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations next summer. The Megxit duo — who ditched their royal duties last year to live in the US — are expected to attend the Queen’s official birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, which is part of the four-day festivities to mark her 70 years on the throne, according to The Daily Mail. However, it’s unclear if Harry, 36, and Markle, 39, will appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony beside the Queen and other senior royals for the traditional Royal Air Force flyover, the report said. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited and I’m sure the Queen is very much looking forward to seeing t...

Neurologists Explain Why You Keep Waking Up With a Headache – Yahoo Lifestyle

Nearly everyone wakes up with a headache now and then, but if starting your day in pain has become a normal occurrence, that’s a sign that something’s amiss. But because our bodies are so complex, there are many potential causes of morning headaches and it can be difficult to identify the root cause of your pain. “It's important for anyone with headache that's affecting their life to see a doctor so they can be properly evaluated and not just rely on self-treatment or self-diagnosis,” says Simy Parikh, M.D., an assistant professor of neurology at the Jefferson Headache Center at Thomas Jefferson University. A good physician will do a neurological exam, ask about your medical history and really listen to your story to figure out why you’re waking up with headaches. “Many people thin...

As Cage turned around, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks double superkicked him down. Omega and his buddies all celebrated as Dynamite went off the air, but were then chased off by Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo (who had chairs with them). ‘It’s a wow!’: New CRISPR gene-editing success holds promise for treating many genetic diseases with a single dose – USA TODAY

Paddy Doherty, of County Donegal, Ireland, recently became the fifth person in the world to have cells deep inside his body altered by the gene-editing tool CRISPR/Cas9. Two researchers behind CRISPR won the Nobel Prize last year, including American scientist Jennifer Doudna, and it has already been used to edit blood cells removed from the body and infused back in, as well as genes in the eye. But the trial Doherty participated in was the first time anyone’s whole body has been infused with the CRISPR tool. It seems to have worked as planned.  In Doherty and five others with the same condition, the one-time treatment appears to have turned off a gene that was causing a fatal build-up of protein in their tissues. The three who got the lowest dose saw more than a 50% decline in their blood...
