Katt Williams Challenges Existence Of Cancel Culture, Says “Cancellation Doesn’t Have Its Own Culture” – Deadline

Comedian Kat Williams doesn’t think cancel culture is all that bad – if it even exists. In a June 4th interview on The Joe Budden Podcast, the Emmy-award winning stand-up comic was asked, “Where do you stand on comics’ ability to be comics without judgment and repercussions from cancel culture?” “Some of these things are for the benefit of everything,” Williams responded. “Nobody likes the speed limit, but it’s necessary. Nobody likes the shoulder of the road, but it’s there for a reason. My point is, [people] weren’t all that extremely funny back when they could say whatever they wanted to say.” He continued, “At the end of the day, there’s no cancel culture. Cancellation doesn’t have its own culture.” Williams elaborated cancellation has excluded people who weren’t m...

Yikes—If You Apply This to a Sunburn, Youre Actually Doing More Harm Than Good – Yahoo Lifestyle

If someone asked me, as a beauty editor, the single most important thing I do to keep my skin healthy, radiant, and all-around youthful-looking, I’d spit out, “WEAR SUNSCREEN!” faster than I reach for a glass of wine at 5 p.m. on a Friday. The ironic thing? I’m so freaking bad about following my own advice. The importance of prioritizing sun protection all day every day has been drilled into my brain since I was a teenager, but the warnings about potential sun damage, skin cancer, etc. have increased exponentially since I became a beauty editor and suddenly had access to dermatologists, facialists, and even celebrities waxing poetic about the importance of slathering up every day. Here’s the thing: Skin cancer is the most common cancer diagnosis, yet it's the most preventable cancer. M...

Breakthroughs including a drug cure for kidney cancer unveiled at worlds biggest cancer conference – Daily Mail

Mustard gas is infamous for its use on the battlefield but its key chemical – mustard nitrogen – formed the basis of the earliest forms of cancer-fighting chemotherapy, in the 1940s. Those first chemotherapy drugs, while crude, worked by the same principle that chemotherapy does today: as toxins that turn the body into a hostile environment, in which cancer can’t survive. Thanks to that advance and those that followed many once-fatal cancers are now almost completely curable. Last week, at the American Society for Clinical Oncology’s annual meeting, a further wave of exciting cancer discoveries were unveiled.  There was good news for patients with some of the hardest-to-treat cancers, thanks to immune-system-enhancing medicines that help the body fight cancer, and even hope of a ‘vaccine’...
