Courtney Love: Olivia Rodrigo rude for album cover similarity – CNN

Love recently posted on her verified Instagram and Facebook accounts about Rodrigo's promo photo for her "Sour Prom" concert film. The photo shows Rodrigo as a prom queen with mascara running down her face and is reminiscent of Love's band Hole's 1994 "Live Through This" album cover. "Spot the Difference! #twinning," Love wrote in the caption on Instagram. Rodrigo responded in the comment section writing "love u and live through this sooooo much." Over on her Facebook account Love was a bit more blunt in her comments over the weekend writing "It was rude of her, and (Rodrigo's record label) geffen not to ask myself or ('Live Through This' cover photographer) Ellen von unwerth." "It's happened my whole career so I (don't care)," Love wrote. "But manners is manners!" Sh...

Courtney Love accuses Olivia Rodrigo of copying her bands album cover – Fox News

Courtney Love called out breakout star Olivia Rodrigo on social media for allegedly copying her band's album cover. The 56-year-old singer claimed the teen's promo images for her "Sour" album appeared too similar to Hole’s 1994 album cover for "Live Through This."  Both images feature a prom theme with the same props including a bouquet of flowers, tiara, and smudged makeup. "Spot the difference! #twinning!" Love wrote on Facebook. Then, she called Rodrigo "rude." COURTNEY LOVE SAYS SHE 'ALMOST DIED' IN THE HOSPITAL FROM ANEMIA "It's on GEFFEN. I've informed I await her flowers and note. I sure hope it's long. Does Disney teach kids reading and writing? God knows." Love ranted. "Let’s see. Yes this is rude. Rage inducing? Honey if I had a dollar for everyone [sic] this happens? I’d ...

Kates absence from Diana statue unveiling is telling on so many levels – Page Six

Kate Middleton’s absence from Princess Diana’s memorial launch Thursday will be “telling on so many levels,” according to family sources. Prince William’s wife is missing out on the unveiling of a statue to mark what would have been Diana’s 60th birthday after the guest list was slashed. And while it was expected that Kate would be on hand to broker peace between William and his brother, Prince Harry, a source told Page Six: “Catherine’s absence speaks volumes.” “I think keeping the numbers down is a perfect ‘excuse’ for Catherine to stay away. William is fed up with the drama and Catherine doesn’t need to be dragged into this. “They are planning a private family visit with their children, and that private moment is far more important than the publi...

Kim Kardashians SKIMS Tapped as Official Team USA Olympic Loungewear – TMZ

Kim Kardashian's undergarment line, SKIMS, will be officially repping the U.S. on the biggest stage ... as the gear American athletes will rock in their downtime. The big news came out Monday when Kim posted photos of Olympians already decked out in SKIMS-inspired products with "Team USA" emblazoned across the front and sides. She has quite a story about how this came about, too. Kim first discussed her ties to the Olympics, and how she grew up with the games as a big part of her life -- thanks, in large part, to her stepdad, Caitlyn Jenner, who used to compete (and win) when she was growing up. So, in other words ... she...

Study finds Pfizer and Moderna vaccines may offer COVID protection for years, as Australia struggles to contain delta variant – MarketWatch

The vaccines developed by Pfizer with German partner BioNTech and Moderna using mRNA technology may offer protection against the coronavirus-borne illness COVID-19 for years, according to a new study published Monday. The study, conducted by researchers at Washington University in St. Louis, suggests that people vaccinated with those shots may not need boosters, as long as the virus does not mutate or give rise to new vaccine-resistant variants. It also found that people who have recovered from COVID before being vaccinated “produced the most robust serologic responses,” showing they enjoy a strong immune response. The study has been peer-reviewed, according to Nature, although it published it before copy editing and proofing. Separately, an Oxford University study found tha...

Worlds first wireless, battery-free, fully implantable pacemaker DISSOLVES within seven weeks – Daily Mail

Scientists have developed the world's first wireless, battery-free, fully implantable pacemaker that dissolves in the body when it's no longer needed. The thin, lightweight device wirelessly harvests energy from a remote antenna, and is made from biocompatible materials that naturally absorb into the body over the course of five to seven weeks. Researchers behind the device hope it could soon be used in place of temporary pacemakers, which require invasive surgery to remove. 10 Sizzling Sunscreen Tips for a Burn-Free Summer – Lifehacker

Photo: Irishasel (Shutterstock) If you’ve ever had to apply sunscreen to a young child, you know that it’s...not easy. For that reason, we often reach for the sunscreen sprays, which are fine, but not as good as other options. Add to that the fact that we often overlook certain problem areas, and we must admit that overall, our kids probably aren’t wearing enough of the stuff. I’ve broken down what types of sunscreens work best for different scenarios: To make sure they’re getting the best coverage possible, you’ll first want to consider using the best type of sunscreen for the situation and body part. Sunscreens generally fall into four categories: creams, gels, sticks, and sprays. Creams are best for (dry) skin and faces; gels are good for hairy areas, such as the scalp; sticks are ...
