New York-Presbyterian To Mandate COVID-19 Vaccinations For Staff – CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York-Presbyterian hospital system will require all of its 48,000 employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have a valid exemption, hospital officials announced Friday. “As a leading health care organization, we believe it is essential to require vaccinations to protect our patients and ourselves against the threat of further harm from the pandemic and the possibility of more dangerous mutations,” Dr. Steven Corwin and Dr. Laura Forese, the president and executive vice president of the 10-campus hospital network, said in an email to staff. Woman fails to prove the COVID-19 vaccine made her magnetic during Ohio House hearing | TheHill – The Hill

In video of her testimony, the key sticks to her for approximately three seconds before she removes it. “It sticks to my neck too,” she added, though she failed to get it to stay. She also attempted to make a ...

Covid-19 leads to brain changes & Alzheimer’s-like dementia, new AI-powered study finds – RT

According to recent US research, Covid-19 may lead to the type of brain changes common in Alzheimer’s disease, and a team of scientists has identified the mechanisms by which it may be causing such impairments. Cognitive disorders, including dementia, are increasingly being reported as a complication of the highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19, researchers behind the recent study at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio have revealed.  “Reports of neurological complications in Covid-19 patients and ‘long-hauler’ patients whose symptoms persist after the infection clears are becoming more common, suggesting that [the virus] may have lasting effects on brain function,” said the authors of the study, which was published this week in the journal Alzheimer’s Research ...
