Child fights for her life by taking most expensive drug in the world – KABC-TV

REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -- Ceri and Rory Devine welcomed their first child, Rhys, into the world three months before COVID-19 shut down the country. It wasn't long before the new parents from Redondo Beach, California, began to see the hampering effects of the lockdown on their ability to address unsettling signs in their daughter's development. "There was no comparisons for children because of the pandemic. So we never had the sort of side-by-side or interactions or anything like that, either, so that was really difficult," Rory Devine told "Nightline." Rhys was born on Dec. 4, 2019, after what her parents described as a perfectly normal pregnancy. But while she looked healthy on the surface, on the inside, she was already losing ground. It would take months for her parents to realize it....

Woman testifies in L.A. court that she woke to find ‘That ’70s Show’ actor Danny Masterson raping her – KTLA Los Angeles

In hours of often tearful testimony, a woman told a judge Tuesday that she was going in and out of consciousness on a night 18 years ago when she said she found actor Danny Masterson raping her. “When I came to, he was on top of me and he was inside of me,” said the woman, identifying herself on the witness stand only as Jen B. “The first thing I recall is grabbing his hair to pull him off.” The testimony came at a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court, where a judge is deciding whether there is probable cause to order a trial for the “That ’70s Show” actor, who is accused of the rapes of three women. The Associated Press does not typically name people who say they were victims of sexual abuse but will sometimes use their names when they choose to come forwar...

Jimmy Kimmel Rips Network TV During Disney Upfront: “We’re All Screwed” – Hollywood Reporter

Jimmy Kimmel roasted the post-pandemic broadcast television landscape at Disney’s annual upfront presentation Tuesday. The late night host delivered a searing stand-up routine during the company’s streaming event to advertisers in which he mocked the traditional broadcast networks, including ABC, as well as ripped Disney+ and Amazon. Here are some of the best jokes from Kimmel’s monologue: “We’re here to tell you what our plan to avoid extinction is … More people contracted blood clots from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine than are currently watching network TV.” “Things are so desperate, we’ve had to resort to doing the right thing: inclusion. We want ABC, Disney, FX, Hulu, Freeform, ESPN and Nat Geo to be a safe space where anyone, no matter what the...
