San Francisco could break drug overdose record | TheHill – The Hill

San Francisco could potentially break its record for drug-related deaths, one year after it recorded its deadliest year for overdoses. Raise A Glass To Cecily Strongs Wine-Drunk Jeanine Pirro Impression On SNL – HuffPost

Leaving a wine-drenched Colin Jost in her wake, Cecily Strong closed out the season finale of “Saturday Night Live” with her fan-favorite and heavily liquored impression of Fox News host Jeanine Pirro. During the Anya Taylor-Joy-hosted episode, Strong’s Pirro joined “Weekend Update” co-anchors Jost and Michael Che to remind everyone that, yes, you can still catch her show “a full hour before the nursing homes turn off the TV in the lobby” and that she’s not going anywhere. With a goblet-sized glass of wine in hand, Strong slurred her way through describing a recent stop in Mar-a-Lago, as she proceeded to douse Jost in liquid by punctuating each of her unhinged rants with a flick of the wrist.  “It’s like being on a cruise ship that’s permanently docked in the hottest part of Flori...

AccuWeather Study finds shocking benefit of lightning What is the purpose of lightning? That might sound like a deeply philosophical question, but scientists may have shed some more light on the answer with the results of a recently released study. The new study published at the end of April in Science found that lightning may play a bigger role in global climate change than was previously known by the scientific community. "Lightning increases the atmosphere's ability to cleanse itself," the researchers wrote in the study. Many are familiar with the potentially deadly hazards posed by lightning, which is blamed for an average of 43 fatalities in the United States each year, based on data from 1989 to 2018. Although the odds of being struck are quite low -- 1 in 1,222,000 in a given year ...
