Bill Cosby Denied Parole; Ex-“America’s Dad” Won’t Participate In Required Sexually Violent Predator Treatment – Deadline

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court hasn’t ruled on whether Bill Cosby can leave prison or get a new trial on sex-crime charges, but the Keystone State’s Parole Board has made its opinion very clear. “Following an interview with you and a review of your file, and having considered all matters required pursuant to the parole board, in the exercise of its discretion, has determined at this time that: you are denied parole/reparole,” the Board told the designated sexually violent predator in a letter earlier this month (read it here). The state board cites several reasons for its decision to keep the 83-year-old legally blind actor once known as “America’s Dad” behind bars. In no small part, the negative recommendation by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections didn’t help Cosby’s c...

Brad Pitt awarded temporary joint custody of his six children, sources say – CNN

The decision was made a few weeks ago and Jolie's legal team has already appealed the judge's decision, the sources said. CNN has reached out to representatives for Pitt and lawyers for Jolie declined to comment. "The recent decision in the custody matter is a tentative one. This is a statutory process that is underway, and we are a long way from a final resolution of anything. Angelina believes that she and the children have been denied a fair trial and will continue to seek the best solution for the children and their wellbeing," a source close to Jolie told CNN. A hearing is set for July 9 in the California appellate court. The couple announced their split in 2016. They are no longer legally married but the terms of their divorce have not yet been finalized. Last year ...

YouTube pulls moms rant challenging mask mandate from conservative account, leaves it up elsewhere – New York Post

A video clip of a Georgia mom opposing a school board’s mask mandate was removed from a conservative news outlet’s YouTube page — even though it’s still visible elsewhere on the social media site. Courtney Ann Taylor made headlines last month with her impassioned plea for the Gwinnett County Board of Education to stop forcing her 6-year-old daughter and other kids to wear masks amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Grabien, an online news service with about 3,400 YouTube subscribers, was told by YouTube on Thursday that its video of Taylor’s remarks was taken down for violating the company’s community guidelines and  “medical misinformation policy,” Fox News reported. But other videos that feature Taylor addressing the school board outside Atlanta remain on YouTub...

Unvaccinated kids aged 2 and up should keep wearing masks, pediatrics group says – Fox News

Kids aged 2 and older who are ineligible for, or have yet to complete, COVID-19 vaccinations should continue to wear masks, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, in line with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for use in kids as young as 12, and Moderna announced this week it plans to submit data to regulators early next month to expand authorized use to kids aged 12-17, after clinical trial data suggested 100% vaccine efficacy in adolescents. Health officials expect to have more data surrounding COVID-19 vaccines and younger children by late fall, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky recently said, noting that de-escalation studies involving children down to 9 are ongoing, and will involve younger childr...

Professor Marty Makary said natural immunity to COVID-19 started to form at the early stages of the outbreak and has been around longer than the vaccines. He added both natural immunity and vaccinations will prevent future outbreaks, allowing Americans to confidently return to normal life. “There is more data on natural immunity than there is on vaccinated immunity, because natural immunity has been around longer,” Makary e...

Diddy posts throwback pic with Jennifer Lopez amid Ben Affleck reunion – Page Six

Ain’t it funny? On Thursday, Sean “Diddy” Combs posted a throwback photo of himself and Jennifer Lopez from when they dated amid the ongoing rollout of Bennifer 2.0. “#tbt,” the 51-year-old music mogul captioned the 2000 picture of him holding hands with Lopez, 51. Several people in the comments took the post as a sign that Diddy may be trying to swoop J.Lo out of the back-at-the-gym arms of Ben Affleck. “Go get your girl Brother Love!!!!!!” DJ Holiday commented. “She yours.” Another wrote, “Bye Ben.” Others couldn’t help but call out the shadiness of Diddy’s post, writing, “Stirring the pot we see!” and “Oh this is messy 😂😂.” Lopez and Combs dated from September 1999 to February 2001. The same year they split, Lopez met Affleck, 48, ...

Let’s All Obsess Over What’s in That Mare of Easttown Photo – Vulture

Look at this photograph! Photo: HBO Max Sunday night’s penultimate installment of Mare of Easttown has viewers obsessing over a photograph with a fervor not seen since the glory days of Chad Kroeger. As the episode drew to a close, the series’s primary whodunnit seemed to be all wrapped up: Billy Ross (Robbie Tann) had apparently confessed both to killing Erin McMenamin (Cailee Spaeny) and being the true father of her son, D.J. But before you could say “Ebert’s Law of Economy of Characters strikes again,” the show threw us one final last-minute twist in the form of a snapshot. The all-important picture made its first appearance i...

Two new studies indicate COVID-19 vaccine immunity lasts at least a year | TheHill – The Hill

Two new studies indicate that the COVID-19 vaccine could give recipients immunity to the virus for at least a year, and potentially longer, raising more questions about whether certain individuals will require booster shots.  The New York Times reported on Wednesday that the studies imply that many people who contracted COVID-19 about a year ago, recovered and now have been vaccinated will likely not need the extra shots.  But the studies and experts suggest that people who never caught the virus will most likely require a booster, as will other previously infected individuals who do not have a strong immune response.  One of the studies found that B cells that hold a memory of the virus linger in a person’s bone marrow and can produce antibodies to fight COVID-19 when necessar...
