Beyonce and Jay Z Bought the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, Worlds Most Expensive Car – autoevolution

Earlier this week, Rolls-Royce unveiled its first coachbuilding project in a long time and the first in a series of three nautically-based commissions. It’s called Boat Tail and it’s an outrageous, gorgeous and painfully expensive vehicle that’s already secured the title of the most expensive new car in the world. Given its £20 million ($28.4 million) price tag, Boat Tail sure is expensive. It beats previous record holders, like the Bugatti Voiture Noire (€16.5 million / $20.2 million) and the Rolls-Royce 2017 coachbuilt Sweptail (£ 10million / $14.2 million) and, for the time being, is holding on to that number one spot. Boat Tail is not just the priciest new car in the world and the next step in bespoke for Rolls-Royce, but also a true engineering wonder. It finds inspiration in...

Manager of CVS slammed by SATC star for locking up products invites her to visit – Daily Mail

Actress Cynthia Nixon has been described as out-of-touch by the owner of her local CVS in Manhattan, after she criticized the store for putting some of its products under lock and key. The Sex and The City star on Thursday tweeted that it saddened her to see the products behind glass, and said prosecuting poor people was not the solution. Yet Vincent, the manager of the SoHo CVS close to Nixon's $3.2 million apartment, said she was not living in the real world. 'Miss Cynthia Nixon, I don't think you understand what is going on,' he told DailyMail.com 'If you feel that way, maybe one day you should come here and see what we go through. 'Because people are in danger too - they come in here, and start with customers and they start with the people here that work.' Vincen...

Sources close to the ex-couple tell TMZ ... the reason it's taking a while to finalize their divorce is because Jay's seeking 50 percent ownership of Uncommon James, Kristin's chic jewelry and apparel line. We're told Cutler's insisting he should get a stake in UJ because Kristin launched it while they were married ... and well before he filed for divorce in April, 2020. Our sources say Kristin doesn't feel she owes him anything from ...

Biogen’s Alzheimer’s Drug Faces Its Moment of Truth. Biotech Investors Are Watching. – Barrons

Illustration by Elias Stein Text size Monday, June 7 is a date biotech investors should circle on their calendars, if they haven’t already. It’s the deadline for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to decide whether to approve Biogen’s much-debated Alzheimer’s disease therapy, aducanumab. The news will have enormous implications for patients, for Biogen (ticker: BIIB), and for the biotech sector. More than six million Americans have Alzheimer’s, and, as Barron’s highlighted in February, it has been nearly two decades since a ...

AMC, Regal and Cinemark will no longer require masks for vaccinated guests – Fox Business

IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond shares his expectations for the future of the film industry. AMC, Regal, and Cinemark will no longer require fully vaccinated guests to wear face masks. The movie chains' guidelines are in line with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) updated recommendations: Masks are optional for vaccinated individuals, while they are "strongly encouraged" for everyone else.   For patrons who are not vaccinated, masks can be removed while eating and drinking. Employees will still be required to wear a mask. The theater chains will also continue to practice coronavirus safety measures including social distancing and reduced capacity.  In a statement obtained by Variety, AMC said: "Consistent with the latest CDC guidance and following consultatio...

Marilyn Manson Accused of Another Sexual Assault in New Lawsuit – Pitchfork

Note: This article contains descriptions of alleged sexual assault. A former girlfriend of Marilyn Manson has filed a lawsuit against the musician—also known by his given name Brian Warner—claiming he raped and threatened to kill her, TMZ reports. The woman, who began dating Manson in 2011, also claims he showed her a video he called “Groupie,” in which he ties a young fan to a chair, forces her to drink a glass of urine, and threatens her with a gun. A source close to Manson declined to comment on the lawsuit, but says the video was “a scripted short film” shot by Joseph Cultice, a director, photographer, and frequent Manson collaborator. They also claim that the woman in the video was an actress who had previously appeared in Manson’s video for “Long Hard Road From Hell.” The lawsuit ...

Unbearable News: Paddington 2 Loses Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score After New Bad Review – Vulture

Knowing Paddington, he’d probably just nod and treat himself to some more delicious marmalade, but we’re ready to bear-knuckle brawl in defense of that tiny Peruvian sweetheart and his even tinier coat. That was our first reaction, anyway, to finding out that Paddington 2 has lost its perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, three and a half years past the film’s initial theatrical release in the United Kingdom, after the site factored in a less-than-glowing review. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paddington 2’s critical score slipped to a measly 99% with the addition of a review from Film Authority’s Eddie Harrison. Interestingly, Citizen Kane similarly lost its 100% rating last month following the discovery...

‘Friends’ Reunion Censored By The Chinese, Cutting Guest Stars Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber And BTS – Deadline

Central Perk loves everything about the Friends reunion. The Chinese Central Committee apparently does not. Appearances by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and the K-pop group BTS were dropped Thursday from different versions of the streaming show on three Chinese video platforms. Because the clips taken out varied in length, observers believe the censorship likely happened at the platform level. All of those axed from the reunion have annoyed the government in the past. Lady Gaga’s meeting with the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama caused friction, as did Bieber posting a photo of the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, which honors Japan’s war dead, including war criminals. BTS has been annoying the government on everything from their style to their failure to mention China’s Ko...

No masks at work? California proposal says employees don’t have to, if everyone is vaccinated – San Francisco Chronicle

If everyone in the room at your workplace is vaccinated, you don’t have to wear face coverings and you can skip socially distancing after July 31, according to revised state guidelines to be voted on Thursday. Those are some of the takeaways as California workplace safety regulators have updated the rules on what companies must do to protect employees from the coronavirus at work. The draft rules, issued Friday, come after the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health — or Cal/OSHA — Standards Board issued sweeping changes around masking, social distancing, testing and notification of workers potentially exposed to the virus at work late last year, bringing them in line with rules for protecting health care workers from airborne diseases. “If ...
