We had our second improvised finish on a major wrestling show this week, as the World Title Eliminator match on AEW Dynamite had a different ending planned. On tonight’s Dynamite, PAC and Orange Cassidy faced off in a match to determine Kenny Omega’s opponent at Double or Nothing. As noted, the match ended in a no contest/double countout when Cassidy got hurt from a Liger bomb by PAC and Kenny Omega hit PAC with the World Title. The Double or Nothing match was then announced to be a triple threat match. According to PWInsider, the original plan was to go to a 20 minute draw that would have resulted in the same result for the PPV.
