Robert De Niro Injures Leg Off-Set While Filming of Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ – Variety

Robert De Niro is returning home to New York after injuring his leg off-set in Oklahoma while filming Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” in which he is starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Variety confirmed that he was injured, but it’s not known how serious it might be. The injury occurred on his own time, not on the set, according to a source. The Apple Original Films production has been shooting in Bartlesville, Pawhuska and Osage County, Oklahoma. TMZ reported that De Niro flew back to New York on Thursday and will see a doctor Friday. De Niro was already planning to take a few weeks off the production, according to TMZ, and it’s not known whether he will be returning to the set at a later date. Hawaii reports 76 additional coronavirus cases, bringing statewide total to 33,450 – Honolulu Star-Advertiser

Hawaii Department of Health officials today reported 76 new coronavirus infections statewide, bringing the state’s total since the start of the pandemic to 33,450 cases. No new coronavirus-related fatalities were reported today so the statewide death toll remains at 489. The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 378 fatalities on Oahu, 53 on Hawaii island, 53 on Maui, two on Kauai and three Hawaii residents who died outside the state. The U.S. coronavirus-related death toll today is about 584,000 and the nationwide infection tally is nearly 33 million. Today’s new statewide infection cases include 49 on Oahu, 17 on Maui, one on Molokai and seven on Hawaii island and two Hawaii residents diagnosed outside the state, according to health officials. Robert De Niro Injured In Oklahoma; Heading Back To NYC From ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ Set – Deadline

Updated: Robert De Niro has suffered a leg injury while in Oklahoma, Deadline has confirmed. He was there to shoot Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, but the accident didn’t occur while he was on-set or during production. No details on what happened or the injury’s severity. De Niro was already scheduled to head home today from Oklahoma to New York. When he lands, he’ll seek medical attention, sources said. Production will reportedly not be delayed. The Apple Original film is based on a book by David Grann and concerns a series of murders in 1920s Oklahoma. Before De Niro’s injury, it was expected to wrap later this year or early in 2022.
