New trailers: Black Widow, Rick and Morty, and more – The Verge

Hi, it’s Jay, and I’m holding down the fort for Kim today, which means I get to do a trailer roundup. I apparently picked a good week to take this responsibility, as there were a lot of good trailers to pick from — it seems like media companies are gearing up for a big year in movies and TV shows. Let’s get right into it. Black Widow My wife and I spent the first part of this year watching the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and as we got further along, we couldn’t believe that Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow didn’t have her own movie yet. So as you might expect, we’re very excited to see Black Widow, especially after the new trailer that came out on Saturday. Black Widow will debut on July 9th in theaters and on Disney Plus as a $30 Premiere Access title. The Suic...

Do YOU suffer from body acne? Cosmetic doctor reveals how to treat spots ahead of summer – Daily Mail

With summer on its way many will be excited to ditch their winter clothes, but for those with body acne it can be be difficult to feel comfortable showing off skin.  Dr Rekha Tailor, a top non-surgical cosmetic specialist based in Surrey, has revealed why people get spots on their body and how to treat them at home in time for the warmer months.  She advised ditching sugary foods for a Mediterranean diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, trying out a chemical exfoliation, and ensuring you're using the right products when washing yourself.  The doctor told to avoid tight clothing and opt for natural fabrics such as cotton and silk instead, because these are best for letting air circulate naturally around the skin and preventing build up in the pores.  Dr Rekha Tailor, a t...

US seeing fourth wave of coronavirus infections due to variants: Osterholm – Fox News

Epidemiologist Dr. Michael Osterholm believes the U.S. is seeing a "fourth wave" of infections due to coronavirus variants that have arisen over the past few months. Osterholm, who served as a member of President Biden's COVID-19 transition advisory board, said the variants pose a significant problem despite underscoring that existing vaccines appear to be effective against them. "I believe that, in some ways, we're almost in a new pandemic," Osterholm told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. "The only good news is that the current vaccines are effective against this particular variant B.1.1.7." Dr. Michael Osterholm, Regents Professor, McKnight Presidential Endowed Chair in Public Health, and director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the Universi...

Daniel Kaluuya jabs royal family amid racism controversy in SNL debut – Page Six

Daniel Kaluuya poked fun at the royal family over the weekend in his “Saturday Night Live” debut, amid recent racism claims made against the monarchy. Kaluuya, who hails from London, kicked off his opening monologue Saturday with a reference to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview, in which the Duchess of Sussex alleged the royals raised “concerns” over how dark son Archie’s skin might be. “I know you’re hearing my accent and thinking, ‘Oh no, he’s not black, he’s British.’ Let me reassure you that I am black,” Kaluuya said. “I’m black and I’m British. Basically, I’m what the royal family was worried the baby would look like.” Last month, Markle, 39, spoke candidly with friend Oprah Winfrey about her struggles as a royal. Among the bombsh...

Turkey: Ex-admirals derided for statement on straits treaty – Yahoo News

ISTANBUL (AP) — A group of retired Turkish admirals came under fire Sunday for issuing a statement that government officials tied to Turkey’s history of military coups. The 103 former navy officers criticized a suggestion that Turkey could withdraw from the international treaty that regulates shipping through the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits, which link the Mediterranean Sea to the Black Sea. Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay compared the statement’s signatories to “cowards whistling in a graveyard.” Numan Kurtulus, the deputy leader of Turkey's ruling party, tweeted that they were the “lovers of old Turkey who see themselves above the will of the nation.” The possibility of leaving the 1936 Montreux Convention was raised earlier in the week during discussions about the construction ...
