The next move in the Bay State’s three-phase vaccination rollout begins Monday, giving people aged 55 or older eligibility to slot their vaccine. SALT LAKE CITY — There were 344 new COVID-19 cases in Utah with no new deaths, according to an update provided by the Utah Department of Health Sunday. The rolling seven-day average number of positive cases per day is now about 400 cases per day, according to the health department. That's a decline of six from Saturday, according to updated data. Utah's rate has been above 400 new cases per day since Sept. 9, 2020. It reached as high as 3,392 new cases per day in November and 3,258 per day in early January. Meanwhile, the positive test rate per day for that time period reported with the "people over people" method is now 7%.
