‘SNL’ Eschews Political Cold Open For MTV Spring Break Sketch Despite Maya Rudolph Hosting – Deadline

Maya Rudolph, who has regularly played Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday Night Live, is back in New York hosting the NBC comedy. However, despite this, Lorne Michaels’ long-running comedy eschewed a sketch with Rudolph as Harris and instead chose to have her hosting an MTV-style Spring Break skit. It marks the first time that Saturday Night Live hasn’t had a political cold open in a long time, given Joe Biden’s recent inauguration and the turbulent electoral situation. Rudolph played Cece Vuvuzela, hosting a Singled Out-style gameshow, where three contestants had to guess whether the single girls were “snatched, vaxxed or waxed”. Chris Redd, Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney starred alongside Rudolph with Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner as the single ladi...

Luttrell was (SPOILER ALERT) the one and only survivor of OperationsRed Wings in Afghanistan, a mission in 2005 where SEAL Team 10 were assigned to neutralize a high-ranking Taliban leader. However, the Navy SEALs were engaged in a bloody gun battle with Taliban fighters on the side ...

Piers Morgan is railing against cancel culture and "woke" liberals in a lengthy account appearing in the U.K.'s "Mail on Sunday" newspaper. Morgan, who left "Good Morning Britain" earlier his month after saying on air that he didn’t believe many of the things Meghan Markle had said in her shocking Oprah Winfrey interview, was writing at length for the first time since after his divisive comments about the Duchess of Sussex. The piece, which appeared online in the U.S. on Saturday night, gave a moment-by-moment account of what led to his departure from "GMB." "I expected such disingenuous, self-serving wrecking-ball stuff from a social-climbing Hollywood actress like Ms Markle, but for Harry to publicly shred his family and the Monarchy like this, while Prince Philip was seriously ill ...

Piers Morgan defends Sharon Osbourne after she exits The Talk – Page Six

Piers Morgan responded to Sharon Osbourne’s exit from “The Talk” in a lengthy recounting of his own dramatic departure from “Good Morning Britain” — in which he defended their controversial comments about Meghan Markle as “free speech.” “What’s happened to Sharon and me in the past fortnight isn’t really about Ms. Markle,” he wrote in a column for the Mail on Sunday, in which he says Markle was exploiting “woke world view” and “cancel culture” in her bombshell interview.  “It’s about a far bigger issue than one delusional Duchess, and that’s everyone’s right to be free to express our honestly held opinions, forcefully and passionately if we feel like it,” he wrote.  Osbourne quit “The Talk” Friday, two weeks after she got into an on-air argument with her c...
