Photo: Paras Griffin/Getty Images A lawyer is seeking a criminal investigation into T.I. and Tiny Harris on behalf of 11 new victims accusing the couple of sexual assault, abuse, and drugging, along with facilitating abuse among other members of their circle. The new accusations come after dozens of alleged victims first accused the couple of sexual abuse and assault in late January, accusations denied by the couple at the time. Tyrone A. Blackburn, a New York–based lawyer, sent letters to state and federal prosecutors along with state attorneys general in Georgia and California on February 19 calling for investigations, Vulture confirmed. CDC launches COVID-19 vaccine location tool to help Americans find shots – Fox News

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) launched a new tool to help Americans find COVID-19 vaccines as counterfeits and tight supplies continue to plague the distribution process. The CDC recently issued guidance that adults 65 years of age and older should be cautious of vaccines offered "free of charge," refreshing concerns surrounding an already strained campaign. To combat the counterfeit operations – and to help stem the scramble for what doses remain available – the CDC launched a new tool to allow Americans to search for vaccine providers with stocks of the vaccine in their local area. 'KEEP AN EYE' ON NEW YORK CORONAVIRUS VARIANT, FAUCI WARNS Launched in partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital and Castlight Health, the tool builds on the current VaccineFinder.org platfor...

1 year into pandemic, sky begins to clear over US economy – KSL.com

SAN FRANCISCO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) — Despite the U.S. economy's near miss with a depression last year and an ongoing coronavirus pandemic that has brought travel to a virtual halt, Jeff Hurst, the chief executive of vacation rental firm VRBO, sees a boom on the horizon. "Every house is going to be taken this summer," Hurst said, as the expected protection from vaccines arrives in step with warmer weather, unleashing a cooped-up population with record savings stashed away. "There's so much built-up demand for it." That sort of bullish sentiment has increasingly taken root among executives, analysts and consumers who see the past year of comparative hibernation — from the government-ordered business closings last spring to continued risk avoidance by the public — giving way to a cautious re...

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Oprah sit-down called nonsense by royal expert: It suits a narrative – Fox News

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s highly anticipated sit-down with Oprah Winfrey is already being slammed by one royal expert. On Sunday, CBS released the first two promos for the tell-all where the media mogul is heard asking the Duchess of Sussex: "were you silent or were you silenced?" Royal biographer Robert Jobson said the trailer was filled with "over the top, melodramatic nonsense." "The queen and the royal family are not the Corleone family of Windsor," he told U.K.’s DailyMail on Monday. "There are no hitmen or heavies going around silencing people. Meghan, whilst a working royal, was always protected by a team of Scotland Yard officers. Thankfully, she was never in danger physically and Harry knows that." CDC director really worried about states rolling back Covid safety measures as U.S. cases appear to plateau – CNBC

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Chip Somodevilla | Getty Images The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday that she is "really worried" about some states rolling back public health measures intended to contain the coronavirus pandemic as U.S. cases appear to be leveling off at a "very high number." The declines in Covid-19 cases seen since early January now appear to be stalling at around 70,000 new cases per day, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said during a White House news briefing. "With these statistics, I am really worried about more states rolling back the exact public health measures we have recommended to protect people from Covid-19." "Seventy thousand cases a day see...

Al Drago/Getty Images Senate Democratic leaders are urging their caucus to stick together and fend off GOP amendments that could alter key elements of the $1.9 trillion relief plan when it heads to the floor later this week, a plea aimed at keeping together a fragile Democratic coalition in order to send the bill to President Biden's desk by mid-March. Senators are walking into a legislative minefield later this week since the relief bill is being considered under budget reconciliation rules that allow a free-flowing amendment process, meaning senators can force votes on as many amendments as they like. That means if two Democrats break ranks, they could amend the bill with the backing of 49 Republicans. But Democratic leaders want their caucus to hold the line against amendments that...
