People Are Here For Kourtney Kardashian, Megan Foxs Double Date With Rocker Boyfriends – HuffPost

Both couples revealed their budding romances within the last year, with Kardashian and Barker dropping the bomb on fans via Instagram in February while Fox and Kelly shared their news on the same platform back in July 2020. As to how this foursome got together, it’s likely because Kelly and Barker have worked together on music. Most recently, Barker contributed and executively produced Kelly’s recent “pop-punk” album “Tickets To My Downfall.” After the group was seen out together, Twitter had a whole lot to say about it. People particularly loved the duos’ lollipop action:

New Michigan law: J&J recipients must be notified of stem cell use in vaccine development – Detroit Free Press

When Michiganders get a Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine paid for with certain federal funds, a new state law mandates that they must be informed that it was developed using a stem cell line from an aborted fetus. The requirement was tucked away inside a broader state bill that distributed federal COVID-19 funds. Although Congress approved billions of dollars for Michigan in December, it falls on the state Legislature to allocate the money.  Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Democrats wanted every available dollar immediately sent to families, workers and businesses in need. Republicans ultimately allocated some of the funds, but also tied more than $1 billion to separate bills that sought to take away power from Whitmer and the leader of the state health department. The governor vetoed...

These TikToks are a playful look into the harsh realities of game development – The Verge

Leslee Sullivant approaches the camera curiously. Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail, and she’s dressed in an olive green button-up against a bar background. “Are you one of the new hires?” she asks. “Oh, you’re the intern!” She offers to sneak you a drink when she learns you’re underage and asks about your boyfriend. You’re not like her wife, she says. The wife doesn’t really get the whole gaming thing. “If you’re looking for a mentor, I’m your guy,” she concludes. The caption on the TikTok video is “grooming.” The games industry struggles with #MeToo-style reckonings every few months, and Sullivant’s video is a pitch-perfect impression of one of the many insidious ways those problems happen. On TikTok and Twitter, where she later shared the video, people can relate. As one...

Captain Underpants book pulled for passive racism – Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — A graphic novel for children from the wildly popular “Captain Underpants” series is being pulled from library and book store shelves after its publisher said it “perpetuates passive racism.” The book under scrutiny is 2010′s “The Adventures of Ook and Gluk” by Dav Pilkey, who has apologized, saying it “contains harmful racial stereotypes” and is “wrong and harmful to my Asian readers.” The book follows about a pair of friends who travel from 500,001 B.C. to 2222, where they meet a martial arts instructor who teaches them kung fu and they learn principles found in Chinese philosophy. Scholastic said it had removed the book from its websites, stopped processing orders for it and sought a return of all inventory. “We will take steps to inform schools and libraries who may st...
