The report studied a single Chicago gym in August 2020 and found that out of 81 attendees of indoor high-intensity classes, 55 people fell sick with COVID-19 — or 68 percent. Ohio Dept. of Health issues latest travel advisory with five states added to the list Twenty-two of those infected attended classes on or after the day symptoms began, and most attendees (76 percent) wore masks infrequently, including persons with (84 percent) and without COVID-19 (60 percent). NXT recap & reactions (Feb. 24, 2021): No Regrets – Cageside Seats

NXT returned last night (Feb. 24) from the Capitol Wrestling Center (CWC) in Orlando, Florida. You can find all the results at the live blog here. No Regrets Adam Cole: Still a prick. This week’s episode closed with the explanation for Adam Cole’s betrayal. But we never really got it. Instead it was Cole pretending he was remorseful only to predictably reveal that he most definitely was not. Kyle O’Reilly, who they told us is out 4-6 months (but surely will be back sooner), did not show up tonight. It was too soon for any of that. Instead Roddy Strong confronted the former leader of Undisputed ERA. At first, he didn’t buy Cole’s BS. But after an interlude where NXT Champion Finn Bálor tried to confront Cole but got put down by a brief alliance between Roddy and Adam (a bi...

Sean Kennedy, Bassist With I Killed the Prom Queen and Deez Nuts, Dies at 35 – Billboard

When I Killed the Prom Queen disbanded, some of the pieces reformed as Deez Nuts, which released six studio albums, including the Top 20 set Word Is Bond from 2015. Kennedy also appeared on 2017’s Binge & Purgatory, and 2019’s You Got Me F***ed Up. Former bandmate I Killed the Prom Queen Michael Crafter paid tribute to the late bass player. “For years we stood side by side on stage or in band photos,” he wrote on social media. “We slept on floors, in vans, planes and some how managed to tour the world. Time went way to [sic] fast.” “We experienced highs and lows on the road and after all we went through, you will always be my friend. As the years passed us by I’m glad we’ve always been there for each other." He added, "When I called you last week I didn’t think it would be the last. I...

A Baby Sick With COVID-19 in Washington Had 51,000 Times More Viral Particles – ScienceAlert

A new coronavirus variant has emerged. A very sick newborn, treated at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., was found to have not only a new variant of the novel coronavirus, but a viral load 51,418 times higher than other young patients, according to the Washington Post.   The new variant was identified recently when the researchers sequenced the genome of the virus from the baby, who was treated in September and recovered, reported the Post's Ariana Eunjung Cha.  It's not clear how common or how risky this new variant might be. The database found eight other cases of this variant in the US mid-Atlantic region, according to a pre-print study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, on coronavirus variations in children. The variant, researchers said, has a different type ...

Amid COVID-19 pandemic, flu has disappeared in the US – Fox News

NEW YORK (AP) — February is usually the peak of flu season, with doctors’ offices and hospitals packed with suffering patients. But not this year. Flu has virtually disappeared from the U.S., with reports coming in at far lower levels than anything seen in decades. CLICK FOR THE LATEST ON THE CORONAVIRUS Experts say that measures put in place to fend off the coronavirus — mask wearing, social distancing and virtual schooling — were a big factor in preventing a "twindemic" of flu and COVID-19. A push to get more people vaccinated against flu probably helped, too, as did fewer people traveling, they say. Flu-related hospitalizations, however, are a small fraction of where they would stand during even a very mild season, said Brammer, who oversees the CDC’s tracking of the virus. Flu d...
