Kim Kardashian Went Off On “Grown Adults” Who Doubted North Wests Painting Skills – BuzzFeed News

"North worked incredibly hard on her painting which took several weeks to complete," she went on. "As a proud mom, I wanted to share her work with everyone." "I'm seeing op-ed pieces in the media and social media from grown adults breaking down whether or not my child actually painted this," Kim said. "How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of NOT being awesome?!" The mother of four concluded: "Please stop embarrassing yourselves with the negativity and allow every child to be GREAT!!!"

Heather Rae Young shares behind-the-scenes look at new tattoo for Tarek El Moussa – Fox News

Heather Rae Young shared some behind-the-scenes details about the perplexing tattoo she debuted earlier this week.  The "Selling Sunset" star, 33, took to Instagram on Monday to share an up-close look at her new tattoo featuring the words "Yes sir, Mr. El Moussa" in black cursive ink on her backside. The tattoo was meant as a special Valentine’s Day gift to her fiance, "Flip or Flop" star Tarek El Moussa, 39.  After the post went viral, Young deleted it but decided to share a brief video to her Instagram Story Tuesday showing her excitedly preparing to get inked with her tattoo artist, Sean Arnold.  "I’m going to post a video from yesterday. Obviously, you guys all saw that I got a tattoo, so I'm going to post a cute little video that I did right before I got that tattoo," she explain...

How a hit TV show exposed the failure to learn the lessons of the past on Covid-19 – CNN

But this isn't a sequence in a news report from an overwhelmed Covid ward. The year is 1985 and this is a scene from "It's a Sin," a searing British television miniseries that explores the AIDS crisis over a ten-year period through the lens of those that lived it. The parallels between the devastation wreaked by AIDS and the tragedy of Covid-19 today are clear. Thousands of lives lost, people dying alone in hospital, denied the opportunity to say goodbye to loved ones, with only medical staff to offer comfort in their final moments. Funerals devoid of crowds of mourners, misinformation and confusion over the surging crisis spread rapidly across the globe. But -- when it comes to the public health response -- have governments and politicians learned the lessons of the past? Marc Thomp...

AP-NORC poll: A third of US adults skeptical of COVID shots – The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — About 1 in 3 Americans say they definitely or probably won’t get the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a new poll that some experts say is discouraging news if the U.S. hopes to achieve herd immunity and vanquish the outbreak. The poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that while 67% of Americans plan to get vaccinated or have already done so, 15% are certain they won’t and 17% say probably not. Many expressed doubts about the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness. The poll suggests that substantial skepticism persists more than a month and a half into a U.S. vaccination drive that has encountered few if any serious side effects. It found that resistance runs higher among younger people, people without college degrees, Black Americans and Re...

Wonder Women

Screen + Sound + Stage Text by Ranjabati Das. Illustration by Swati Sinha There is a marked difference between how Farah Khan portrayed Deepika Padukone in her first film, Om Shanti Om (OSO) and how Rohit Shetty directed Kriti Sanon in her third Hindi film nearly a decade later in Dilwale. Although both were undeniably “Shah Rukh Khan films”, Padukone had a meatier role in OSO. However, Sanon managed to turn out a credible performance in her fifth outing; Bareilly Ki Barfi (BKB) was helmed by director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwary, who has spoken about how Sanon was tagged simply as “glamorous” in her previous films, having been cast in this mould by her male directors. “I hope that BKB redefi...

Gorilla Glue girl Tessica Brown explains how she accidentally went viral – New York Post

The Louisiana woman who went viral for using Gorilla Glue as hairspray said in an interview that she never intended to spread her sticky saga online – but was desperate for help in untangling her mess. “I never was going to take this to social media. The reason I took this to social media was because I didn’t know what else to do,” Tessica Brown told ET. “And I know somebody out there could have told me something. I didn’t think for one second when I got up the next morning it was gonna be everywhere,” she added. Brown, whose hair has been stuck solid for a month, on Wednesday said she would be going to see a surgeon to get unstuck.
