Coronavirus infections are plummeting – Axios

New coronavirus cases continued their sharp decline over the past week — progress that could help the U.S. find its way out of the pandemic faster and more safely, if it keeps up. And the tools to achieve that — masks, social distancing and vaccines — are also the most effective weapons against the more contagious variants that could threaten the U.S.' progress. By the numbers: An average of 108,000 Americans were diagnosed with COVID-19 infections each day over the past week. That’s a 24% decline from the week before. Hospitalizations were also down last week, by about 8%, and deaths fell by 3%. The virus is still killing an average of roughly 3,000 Americans per day...

Columns Illustrations by Aishwaryashree Dear prepubescent self, Oh, what a journey you have ahead of you! Right now, you don’t understand the pressure of hitting adolescence, finding your sexuality and figuring out what to do with it. Aside from your voice cracking and a bunch of hair growing everywhere, your body and mind will leave the playful spaces of your pre-teen existence and thrust you into a confusing space. NXT recap & reactions: Dusty Classic Fatigue – Cageside Seats

NXT returned last night (Feb. 10) from the Capitol Wrestling Center (CWC) in Orlando, Florida. You can find the results at the live blog here. Finals are Set The main event of this week was a men’s Dusty semi-final match between The Grizzled Young Veterans and Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher. The match was a solid main, which made sure to demonstrate how the GYV really functioned as a true team. While T & T weren’t off the same page, it was clear the Vets are extensions of each other. This factored into the finish when Zack Gibson grabbed James Drake, who was prone for Ciampa’s finish Willow’s Bell, preventing the move. This allowed the Vets to deliver their double team finisher Ticket to Mayhem. Gibson covered Tommaso as Drake prevented Thatcher from breaking it up...
