Lady Gagas dogs recovered safely after theft, shooting – The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lady Gaga’s two French bulldogs, which were stolen by thieves who shot and wounded the dog walker, were recovered unharmed Friday, Los Angeles police said. A woman brought the dogs to the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station, just northwest of downtown, around 6 p.m, said Capt. Jonathan Tippet, commanding officer of the department’s elite Robbery-Homicide Division. Lady Gaga’s representative and detectives went to the station and confirmed that they were the dogs, Tippet said. The singer is currently in Rome to film a movie. The woman who dropped off the dogs appears to be “”uninvolved and unassociated” with Wednesday night’s attack, Tippet said. In a tweet Friday night, the LAPD said the woman had found the dogs “and reached out to Lady Gaga’s staff to return them....

PATERSON, N.J. -- On one of the hardest days of their lives, the family of Joanna Jimenez talked about their last joyous gathering - her baby shower. Baby Ashton was born Feb. 13 - it was an emergency delivery because Jimenez was battling COVID. His mom lost her battle, never having the chance to hold, in her arms, the baby she carried with care for nearly nine months. Jimenez leaves behind her three boys -- 15-year-old Jordan, 18-month-old Christian, baby Ashton. She also leaves behind her devastated husband, Chad Augustus. "I'm just trying to stay strong...every day I want to let my emotions out, but I'm trying to stay strong for the kids and the family," said Augustus. The family has started a GoFundMe page to help her three boys begin their lives, without the mother that family and ...

Fred Segal Dies: Iconic Retailer Who Defined L.A. Fashion Was 87 – Deadline

Fred Segal’s became known as a high-end fashion boutique with a young and hip vibe. The stores lured customers including the Beatles, Elvis, Diana Ross, the Jackson Five, Nicole Kidman and Jefferson Airplane, among many others. When Segal opened his West Hollywood store, 85 percent of the inventory in the 350‑square‑foot store was blue. Later, in a 700-square-foot store on Santa Monica Boulevard, Segal’s form-fitting fashion was a big hit. That led to a jeans-only store on Melrose at Crescent Heights in 1960 in the heyday of that retail strip, and he soon created the first “Jeans Bar.” Fred Segal’s denim designs for men and women were selling for $19.95 when jeans were typically $3. You Have to See George Clooney Recite the Lyrics to BTS Dynamite – Billboard

He mostly gives the song a pretty straightforward reading in the Lynn Hirschberg-directed video, save for a few asides, like when he reads the lyric "Jump up to the top, LeBron" and adds: "And we know who that is." But the best part of the black-and-white video has to be when he turns the page and says "Oh, Jesus" as he encounters the "Dy-na-na-na-na-na-mite" portion of the song. Like any seasoned actor, he soldiers through. You can watch the full thing for yourself below, and check out Clooney's W cover story, which celebrates his performance in The Midnight Sky.
