Dr. Kavita Patel: Here’s what you can and can’t do after being fully vaccinated for Covid – CNBC

Even after being fully inoculated against Covid, some public health precautions are still needed until more data on the vaccines can be collected, Dr. Kavita Patel told CNBC on Friday. It's well understood the two-shot vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are highly effective at preventing severe disease and death from Covid-19, Patel said in a "Squawk Box" interview. Less understood right now is how well the vaccines reduce transmission of the coronavirus. In other words, someone who has been vaccinated has sharply reduced their risk of getting really sick from the coronavirus, but Patel contended precautions are still needed in the coming months if a small group is gathering and a person in that group has not been vaccinated. "If you are in a household with small children [who do...

Judge sides with Britney Spears in latest conservatorship hearing – CBS News

A Los Angeles judge Thursday sided with Britney Spears' legal team in giving a third party equal power to her father in managing the 39-year-old pop star's finances. Her father, Jamie Spears, had objected to an earlier ruling, which he claimed lessened his control over the estate.  Judge Brenda Penny ordered her father and financial company Bessemer Trust to work together on a budget and investment plan for the singer. In November, the judge appointed the company to the role but denied an attempt from Britney's lawyers to remove Jamie from the conservatorship entirely. Jamie was granted the conservatorship in 2008 after Britney struggled with mental health issues.  On Thursday, Britney's court-appointed attorney echoed his previous statements saying his client wants her father remo...

Trachtenberg, who later appeared on the CW’s “Gossip Girl,” didn’t go into explicit detail about what led to the alleged rule — or who put it in place. Trachtenberg’s allegat...
