Randy Parton, a musician and youngest brother of country singer Dolly Parton, has died after a battle with cancer. He was 67. Dolly announced the news of her brother's death on her Facebook page on Thursday. "My brother Randy has lost his battle with cancer. The family and I are grieving his loss but we know he is in a better place than we are at this time. We are a family of faith and we believe that he is safe with God and that he is joined by members of the family that have gone on before and have welcomed him with joy and open arms," she wrote. Glastonbury has been cancelled for the second year running due to COVID-19. The “enforced fallow year” of the music and arts festival, originally set for June 23-27, marks the first time that its modern incarnation will skip consecutive years. “In spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the festival happen,” organizers Emily and Michael Eavis write in a statement. “We thank you for your incredible support and let’s look forward to better times ahead.” As with last year’s cancellation, ticket-holders can roll over their £50 deposit, guaranteeing a chance to secure tickets for the 2022 festival.
