Eligible New York City seniors desperate to get the COVID-19 vaccine said Friday that they haven’t found any available slots and are fed up with the Big Apple’s convoluted online jab signup system. S-N-P's former DJ blew her top Friday, one day before the movie debuts, saying she was disappointed to learn "a decision was made to move forward with a Lifetime biopic that wrongfully excluded me from every aspect of development and production all the while using my image throughout, given that I played an integral role in the group's story and success." Spinderella said she felt compelled to speak out because "too often, Black women who have made meaningful contributions in their industry are left out of historical narratives." She's especially mad because ...

PROVO — A new dataset published by BYU researchers this week and a coinciding soon-to-be-published research paper give a better understanding of the impact public health interventions had during the 1918 influenza pandemic, including that death rates nearly doubled in cities where there were poor mitigation efforts. While it's a review of something that happened over a century ago, it could offer insights into measures regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic today —considering the many parallels between the 1918-19 pandemic and the coronavirus outbreak.
