Harry Styles sparked Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis split: Insiders – Page Six

While the internet went crazy this week over Page Six’s news that Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are dating, one person wasn’t so happy: Wilde’s former longtime fiancé, Jason Sudeikis. Back in November, it was reported that Wilde and the “Ted Lasso” star, who were together for seven years and share two young children, had split. But an insider told The Post that the relationship with Styles has actually been going on as far back as October, leaving “Saturday Night Live” vet Sudeikis distraught. And while there were reports that Wilde and Sudeikis split in early 2020, other sources close to the couple say, in fact, that they broke up in early November — and cite Wilde’s relationship with Harry as the main reason for the split. “Olivia and Jason were hav...

False Reports of a New ‘U.S. Variant’ Came from White House Task Force – The New York Times

Reports of a highly contagious new variant in the United States, published on Friday by multiple news outlets, are based on speculative statements made by Dr. Deborah Birx and are inaccurate, according to several government officials. The erroneous report originated at a recent meeting where Dr. Birx, a member of the White House coronavirus task force, presented graphs of the escalating cases in the country. She suggested to other members of the task force that a new, more transmissible variant originating in the U.S. might explain the surge, as another variant did in Britain. Her hypothesis made it into a weekly report sent to state governors. “This fall/winter surge has been at nearly twice the rate of rise of cases as the spring and summer surges. This acceleration suggests there may ...

What we know about Asia Pacifics Covid-19 vaccines – CNN

Some countries like the United States and United Kingdom have already begun vaccinating priority groups and the public. In Asia, only a handful of countries have reached this stage -- the biggest being China and India, which have the extensive manufacturing capabilities necessary to serve as regional vaccine production hubs. Most other countries are still waiting on local regulators to approve vaccine candidates before they can roll out inoculation programs -- and in the meantime, are scrambling to sign deals with pharmaceutical companies to buy the coveted doses in advance. Here's what we know about Covid-19 vaccines in Asia Pacific. India, the world's biggest vaccine producer India, second only to the US in the number of coronavirus cases worldwide, approved two vaccines for eme...

Gilmore Girls’ Matt Czuchry Reveals Why He’ll “Never” Spill the Identity of Rory’s Baby’s Father – E! NEWS

1. The show's fictional Stars Hollow—which has gone on to become one of TV's most beloved settings—was inspired by Amy Sherman-Palladino's unexpected visit to Washington, Conn. Charmed by the people she met, traditions she witnessed and the inn she stayed at, she left the small town with the concept for the series—including some of the pilot's dialogue. "If I can make people feel this much of what I felt walking around this fairy town, I thought that would be wonderful," Sherman-Palladino told Deseret News. 2. Alexis Bledel had only uncredited acting role on her resume and was a student at New York University when she decided to audition for Rory. "I was very sick, I was a student at NYU, and they kept calling me back up to audition," Bledel recalled during an appearance on Late Nig...

At Netflix, whiteness of Cobra Kai is under new spotlight – Los Angeles Times

Fans have quoted it for decades: “Sweep the leg!” “Get him a body bag!” “Wax on, wax off.” Now, more than 30 years after “The Karate Kid” crane kicked its way into pop culture history in 1984, the mythos has been reborn for the digital age. Make that reborn again. After debuting on YouTube Premium in 2018, breakout spinoff “Cobra Kai” moved to Netflix last year where the series, whose third season premiered on the platform New Year’s Day, received more attention than ever. (Season 3 was originally produced for YouTube before the company shifted its original programming strategy.) Ralph Macchio still remembers the moment it sunk in that he’d get to come back for more as Daniel LaRusso, the scrawny San Fernando Valley teen befriended by Noriyuki “Pat” Morita’s martial arts master, Mr. Miya...

Exactly 2 Weeks After Christmas, Los Angeles County Hit By Dreaded Surge On Top Of Surge In Covid-19 Cases; Health Officials Warn Of Even Further Rise – Deadline

“The very high numbers I will report today are, sadly, not a surprise,” said Los Angeles Public Health Chief Science Officer Dr. Paul Simon on Friday. Those numbers come two weeks to the day after Christmas. A surge in infections two weeks after Christmas was the prediction, over and over again, from health officials trying to help L.A. avoid a new surge. “This very clearly is the latest surge for the winter holidays and New Year’s,” said Simon. “And it’s likely to continue over the next week or two. We do expect these numbers continue to be high over the next couple weeks.” Health officials have noted that there was a fall surge and a Thanksgiving surge on top of that. While daily cases have dipped a bit recently, they’ve fallen to nowhere near where they were before the fal...

They bare their souls and insecurities, sometimes with brutal...
