This Marvel Comics Storyline Could Spoil WandaVision — and MCU Phase 4 – ComicBook.com

A classic Marvel Comics storyline starring Scarlet Witch and the Avengers could be the key to figuring out WandaVision — and Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In WandaVision, the first original series from Marvel Studios, unusual couple Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) relocate to the suburbs of Westview after the events of Avengers: Endgame. As Wanda channels decades of sitcoms in a reality seemingly of her own making, magically creating a happily ever after with her dead spouse and newborn twin sons Tommy and Billy, they begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems in TV Land. After the Avengers traveled through time and parallel dimensions in Endgame to reverse the Thanos (Josh Brolin) snap that erased half of all life in the universe, Marve...

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- From poor refrigeration to spoiled doses, 130 vaccine providers across Texas reported wasting 1,751 COVID-19 vaccine doses, according to data 13 Investigates obtained Friday afternoon. Our analysis of data from the Texas Department of State Health Services found 350 of those wasted doses are in Harris County. At the county level, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo previously said 20 doses were lost "because two vials fell and broke because a gust of wind passed and five (doses), there was simply nobody to give them to." Outdoor dining returns to LA with tables 8 feet apart, no TVs allowed – Fox Business

California restaurant owner Angela Marsden says she 'can't imagine' implementing minimum wage increase across the country amid coronavirus pandemic. After weeks of being limited to takeout and delivery, struggling restaurants in Los Angeles were allowed to reopen for outdoor dining Friday with new restrictions in place. Restaurants must require employees to wear a face mask and shield, tables must be eight feet apart and seat no more than six people, and televisions are not allowed to be turned on. "Televisions or any other screens that are used to broadcast programming must be removed from the area or turned off," the order from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health says. "This provision is effective until further notice." NYC RESTAURANT OWNERS NOT LOVING VALENTINE'S DAY ...

Evidence Builds That Pregnant Women Pass Covid Antibodies to Newborns – The New York Times

One of the many big questions scientists are trying to untangle is whether people who get Covid-19 during pregnancy will pass on some natural immunity to their newborns. Recent studies have hinted that they might. And new findings, published Friday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics, provide another piece of the puzzle, offering more evidence that Covid-19 antibodies can cross the placenta. “What we have found is fairly consistent with what we have learned from studies of other viruses,” said Scott E. Hensley, an associate professor of microbiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and one of the senior authors of the study. Additionally, he added, the study suggests that women are not only transferring antibodies to their fetuses, but also transferring mor...

Coachella Is Canceled Again – The New York Times

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which draws more than a hundred thousand fans daily from around the world to Southern California, is off for a third time. A county health order canceled the event, as well as the country music festival, Stagecoach, on Friday, citing the recent virus surge that has plagued California for months, despite some recent progress. Both were to begin in April. In the order, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, a public health officer for Riverside County, said both events are “gatherings of an international scope” that were too risky amid the surge and appearance of more contagious variants. “If Covid-19 were detected at these festivals, the scope and number of attendees and the nature of the venue would make it infeasible, if not impossible, to track those who may ...
