ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- Disneyland has officially transformed into Orange County's first vaccination super-site. There were long lines of people waiting to get the COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday, but some county residents trying to get vaccinated reported having trouble landing an appointment through the registration app Othena. County leaders say their registration app was overwhelmed. According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, about 10,000 people registered overnight to schedule an appointment. According to the county's website, vaccines are available for employees who work in Phase 1A – All Tiers, Phase 1B - Tier 1, and people aged 65 years and older. People 75 years and older are in Phase 1B. NOTE: For employees in Phase 1A and 1B – Tier 1, an appointment and employee id badge/letter from place of employment required or you will not be vaccinated For those 65 years and older, an appointment and ID is required. California hospital fined over $40,000 after Santa Clara County says it delayed reporting Covid-19 outbreak – CNN

Santa Clara County said it issued a violation notice to Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center on January 5 "as a result of Kaiser's failure to timely report 43 cases involving personnel who tested positive between December 27, 2020 and January 1, 2021." That number has since grown, according to CNN affiliate KGO. As of Monday, a total of 92 cases of the virus have been linked to this outbreak, according to health officials. This includes 77 staff members and 15 patients. "Kaiser is responsible for complying with all applicable public health orders and work safety regulations, including timely reporting of cases and all required follow-ups," the county said in an email statement to CNN. Allergic reactions in some Moderna vaccine recipients caused delays Wednesday at San Diego County's new "Vaccination Super Station" near downtown's Petco Park, County health officials confirmed. Just after 11 a.m., NBC 7 confirmed that some people waiting for their vaccines at the site at Tailgate Park were experiencing delays. Others said they had been turned away.
