The World Health Organization has said the new coronavirus and COVID-19, the respiratory disease it causes, were unknown before the outbreak was reported in Wuhan, central China, late last year. In Germany, authorities say they don’t know where 75% of people who currently test positive for the coronavirus got it.  In Austria, the figure stands at 77%.
