How to protect yourself when someone in your home has COVID-19 – New York Post

A COVID-19 infection can spread quickly and easily in a household, but there are some measures that will help stop the transmission of the bug, a new study says. “Persons who suspect that they might have COVID-19 should isolate, stay at home, and use a separate bedroom and bathroom if feasible,” according to the study which was supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The isolation should take place immediately even before getting tests results, the study says. “Delaying isolation until confirmation of infection could miss an opportunity to reduce transmission to others,” the authors wrote. The authors also recommend that everyone in the house wears masks when they are within the same space. The study found that 75% of secondary infections were identi...

Pierce Brosnan took to Instagram on Saturday to honor his fellow James Bond actor Sean Connery, who died in his sleep at the age of 90. “Sir Sean Connery, you were my greatest James Bond as a boy, and as a man who became James Bond himself. You cast a long shadow of cinematic splendor that will live on forever,” Brosnan wrote alongside a black-and-white picture of the late actor. “You led the way for us all who followed in your iconic foot steps. Each man in his turn looked to you with reverence and admiration as we forged ahead with our own interpretations of the role.” Brosnan added, “You were mighty in every way, as an actor and as a man, and will remain so till the end of time. Ring of Honor signs Danhausen, but there is a catch – Cageside Seats

It is only fitting that this next piece of news is delivered on Halloween. Danhausen announced that he has finally been hired by Ring of Honor. Danhausen’s contract came with a small disclaimer. He has to win a ROH match in 2020 to make it official. Ring of Honor has offered Danhausen a contract and will hire Danhausen under the stipulation that Danhausen must win a Ring of Honor match before 2020 is finished. Danhausen must have subconsciously skipped over that fine print in the email text message from Dave Honor because it is very bogus, very evil. Anyways consider Danhausen hired because Danhausen always wins. You’ll rue the day you fine printed Danhausen’s contract. Sincerely, Danhausen. PS Up yours, Dave Honor Danhausen has had a few matches with ROH in the past, but i...

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Have Hard Time Walking Their Dogs – TMZ

Play video content BACKGRID Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's Halloween almost turned a little scarier than they might've liked -- and it's all thanks to her many rambunctious dogs. The pop star couple were attempting to walk the pooches Saturday in Camila's Miami neighborhood -- where the two are currently quarantining together -- and they seemed to have a difficult time getting a handle on the three canines going down the street. Camila was handling her Shih Tzu, Leo, and what appears to be a younger relative of hers was dealing with her long-haired Chihuahua, Eugene, while Shawn took the reins on Camila's black German Sh...

Arizona sees biggest rise in virus cases, deaths in months – FOX 10 News Phoenix

article PHOENIX - Arizona's coronavirus outbreak worsened Oct. 31 as the state reported about 1,900 new cases and 45 deaths, the biggest spikes in months. The rise in the number of confirmed infections was the largest single-day increase since Aug. 1, following increases that have been growing over the past few days — from 1,044 on Oct. 28 to 1,315 on Oct. 29 and 1,565 on Oct. 30. The deaths were the most reported in one day since Sept. 3. The state Department of Health Services has reported a total of 245,946 cases and 5,979 deaths since the pandemic began. The number of infections is thought to be far higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected without feeling sick. This AI Can Tell if You Have Covid-19 Just by Listening to Your Cough – Gizmodo

Photo: Mario Tama (Getty Images) It feels like whenever I cough these days it triggers a mini-panic attack that I promptly try to quash with a steady stream of chamomile tea. Thankfully, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have figured out a way to gauge whether a person has covid-19 just from the sound of their cough, so I may soon get to put my inner hypochondriac to rest. The tool uses neural networks that can detect the subtle changes in a person’s cough that indicate whether they’re infected, even if they don’t have any other symptoms. Asymptomatic people infected with covid-19 are a vector for the virus that’s particularly tricky to manage, in part because they’re less likely to get tested because, duh, why would they if they’re feeling fine, right? Thus, ...

The Mandalorian Season 2 Premiere Questions, Easter Eggs – TVLine

RELATED STORIES Thank the Force! The Mandalorian returned with Season 2 on Friday, a full 10 months after its freshman finale landed on Disney+. And with it came some questions. Chapter 9 aka “The Marshal,” fully recapped here, revolved around the titular Mando (played  by Pedro Pascal) teaming with Cobb Vanth (Justified‘s Timothy Olyphant) — the self-appointed, Boba Fett’s armor-wearing lawman of a Tatooine town — and a local band of Tusken raiders to vanquish a Krayt dragon. Once that bit of pest control was tended to, Mando and the Child resumed their quest, as a familiar figure looked on…. Here are some of the questions that I and others had coming out of the premiere –keeping in mind that my own Star Wars consumption never ventured much further than the movies and a few ...

PALMER — For much of the coronavirus pandemic, the Mat-Su region largely escaped the rising case counts and testing shortfalls despite a lack of mask mandates or any other restrictions.
