Fulton, N.Y. -- The patrons of an Oswego County adult entertainment club may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus, the county’s health department said Friday. Three employees at the Whoosah Lounge, located at 614 State Route 48 in Fulton, have tested positive for the virus, county officials said. Anyone who visited the club between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m. on the following days may have been exposed to Covid-19: Oct. 23 Oct. 30 Oct. 31 Nov. 3 Nov. 4 The health department is asking anyone who may have visited the club to monitor themselves for symptoms of the virus, which include fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, new loss of taste and smell, and gastrointestinal illness. (WJZ) — The first official COVID-19 outbreak in Carroll County Public Schools has been confirmed, in a special education program at Robert Moton Elementary School in Westminster, officials said Friday. The Maryland Department of Health defines an outbreak as two linked positive cases, meaning one person may have spread the virus to another person at the school. There were more than 400 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on Long Island as the positive infection ticked upward near 2 percent according to data released on Friday, Nov. 6. In Nassau, the state Department of Health was reporting 246 new COVID-19 cases in Suffolk and 177 in Nassau, according to the latest data released.  There have now been more than 50,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in both Nassau and Suffolk County since the pandemic began. There has been a total of 1,130,891 COVID-19 tests administered in Suffolk, resulting in 50,210 (4.4 percent) positive cases. The Duluth Police Department has 29 members currently in quarantine due to suspected exposures to the COVID-19 virus, according to Chief Mike Tusken, who is also self-isolating as a precaution. He noted that most employees who undergo quarantine never test positive for the virus. Since mid-October, the police department has had 14 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The Duluth Police Department employs 157 sworn officers, 26 civilians, seven parking enforcers and 18 seasonal/part-time staff.
