Returning to host “Saturday Night Live” for the second time, comedian Dave Chappelle couldn’t help but address the political news of the day — and how they related to politics of recent past — in his opening monologue. The Nov. 7 episode was the post-election episode, the second time he had that prime hosting spot. And just hours before the show went on the air, the election was called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and they delivered victory speeches in Delaware. Three of music’s greatest guitarists helped honor the memory of Eddie Van Halen at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. “Eddie Van Halen was a tremendously gifted musician,” declared Guns N’ Roses’ Slash. “His style and his sound were completely unique to him. He had a massive impact on guitar playing. I don’t think there’s anybody that’s picked up the guitar since 1978 that hasn’t been touched in some way by Eddie Van Halen’s influence. As if losing the presidential election wasn’t a big enough blow, Donald Trump was hit with more bad news Saturday: Actor Sacha Baron Cohen withdrew his spoof job offer. Cohen — who thoroughly embarrassed Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani in his latest film, “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” — told the president in a tweet that his recent job offer was rescinded because of Trump’s “tragic and sad” job performance “this past week.” Donald—you’re out of work and I know I offered you a job. Full Gear marked the final AEW pay-per-view of the 2020 calendar year, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The AEW Championship was on the line as Jon Moxley defended his title against Eddie Kingston in a brutal "I Quit Match." Kingston literally threw everything but the kitchen sink at Moxley including thumb tacks, rubbing alcohol and barbed wire. Nine Inch Nails were honored tonight during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Induction Ceremony on HBO. After an induction speech from Iggy Pop and a video package that included words from St. Vincent, Miley Cyrus, Rick Rubin, and others, Trent Reznor accepted the honor on behalf of the band. He thanked his bandmates, past and present, as well as major collaborators from throughout the band’s history.
