Who Should Be the Next Host of “Jeopardy!”? – The New York Times

A few of the names were predictable. Ken Jennings, the “Jeopardy!” champion who holds the longest winning streak on the show, would be the ideal choice, some fans said. Other suggestions were more unusual. What about Rosie Perez, the charismatic actress who, in “White Men Can’t Jump,” played a trivia geek who was determined to get on the game show? As fans mourned the longtime “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek, who died at 80 on Sunday, they also began to speculate about who might replace him. Social media buzzed with suggestions and jokes about who should host the show, from mainstream options, like Mr. Jennings and the ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, to more jarring ones, like the brash comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan. Mr. Trebek was not even the first host of “Jeopardy!” W...

Mads Mikkelsen In Talks To Replace Johnny Depp In ‘Fantastic Beasts’ – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Put Mads Mikkelsen atop the list of actors being considered to replace Johnny Depp in the David Yates-directed Fantastic Beast 3, the third installment of the Harry Potter spinoff based on the JK Rowling fantasy franchise. Sources said he is Yates’ choice to play Grindelwald and he is in early talks. The aim is to keep on track a picture that recently moved its original November 12, 2021 release date to summer 2022. The cast led by Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law are already shooting. Everett Depp was asked by Warner Bros to withdraw from the role after he came out on the losing end of an ugly legal battle he waged against a British tabloid for libeling him in describing him as a “wife beater” in articles that covered his tempestuous marriage to Aquaman star Amb...

Eating tree nuts every day can improve sperm quality, study finds – Fox News

In a nutshell, men should start eating more almonds. A recent study has found that consumption of tree nuts – almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts – can cause changes in the quality of sperm. The study used 72 healthy male participants who reported following a “Western-style diet,” which typically consists of red meat and processed foods. Diet has been considered one of the lifestyle and environmental factors that effects sperm quality by researchers over the years. The "nut group" incorporated almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts into their diets for 14 weeks. (iStock) In the “nut group,” which was randomly selected, the 48 participants were asked to consume 60 grams (roughly 2 ounces) of tree nuts each day for 14 weeks.   CHILI PEPPER CONSUMPTION COULD HELP PEOPLE LIVE LONGER, ...

These venues are high-risk areas for spreading the coronavirus, model suggests – The Washington Post

The study provides statistical support for a strategy built around limiting capacity at indoor venues — such as capping crowds at 20 percent — while allowing those locations to remain open. The researchers contend that such a strategy can make a huge dent in the infection rate while causing a far more modest drop in the total number of visits to those venues. Starting with a “very simple” epidemiological model, the researchers superimposed the cellphone mobility data and pressed play on a simulation of viral spread, said Northwestern University epidemiologist Jaline L. Gerardin. The predicted infections largely matched actual coronavirus caseloads in the studied regions, as tallied by the New York Times. “Based on the data, the main result is that mobility data can be useful for predi...
