Dolly Parton talks aging with Oprah Winfrey: I aint got time to be old – CNN

The legendary singer recently appeared on "The Oprah Conversation," where she was asked by Winfrey if she thinks about "the number" as she hits different milestones in her life. "I don't think about my life in terms of numbers," Parton explained. "First of all, I ain't never gonna be old because I ain't got time to be old. I can't stop long enough to grow old. I'm just gonna be the best that I can be at whatever age I am." Parton, 74, quipped that she's fine with a little anti-aging assistance. "And I bet you I'm not gonna look that different at 95 because I'm like the Gabor sisters," she said. "I'm gonna look like a cartoon. I'll have on the makeup. Covid-19 US: Better treatments led to death rate dropping 30% – Daily Mail

The likelihood that a coronavirus infection will prove fatal has dropped by nearly a third since April due to improved treatment, researchers say.  In the United States, COVID-19 now kills about 0.6 percent of people infected with the virus, compared with around 0.9 percent early in the pandemic, a study from the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation has found.  The seven-day rolling average for deaths is currently at about 1,000 per day. Despite new cases and hospitalizations surging to record daily-highs, the number of Americans dying per day has not been rising at the same rate.  Deaths, which are a lagging indicator and can potentially rise weeks after infections, are still down from the peak 2,000 fatalities recorded per day back in April. ...

A new CDC report reveals that nearly 10% of coronavirus patients return to the hospital within two months of discharge. Many coronavirus patients experience lingering symptoms months after leaving the hospital. These individuals are known as ‘long haulers’ while the affliction itself is known as Long COVID. Coronavirus symptoms likely to linger include brain fog, memory loss, cough, and fatigue. A new CDC report highlights one of the scariest and least understood aspects of the coronavirus, namely that the virus, for thousands of people, simply doesn’t go away. The CDC’s latest Morbidity and Mortality report reveals that thousands of COVID-19 patients who needed hospital treatment between March and July ultimately required additional hospitalization within two months of di...

Greys Anatomy fans stunned by Patrick Dempseys return in Season 17 premiere: I cried so much – Fox News

SPOILER ALERT The Season 17 premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" brought on a rollercoaster of emotions for viewers with one of its most jaw-dropping plot twists ever: the return of Patrick Dempsey's character, Dr. Derek Shepherd. It's a character resurgence fans of the medical drama never saw coming. Shepherd, who was married to Ellen Pompeo's Dr. Meredith Grey, died in a 2015 episode.
