Midler's annual fundraiser known as Hulaween, brought together her former co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, also known as the Sanderson Sisters. The virtual event on Friday night was for her non-profit, the New York Restoration Project, which works to restore gardens and parks in New York's five boroughs. The prolific comedy creator behind the black-ish comedy franchise is in serious conversations with ViacomCBS for a new venture, sources said. I hear the negotiations are focused on jointly launching a studio, in which Barris will be an equity partner.
