The family lawyer of Carole Baskin's first husband, Don Lewis, says it's "impossible" to believe both the "Dancing with the Stars" contestant and the woman who has come forward with new information on the cold case. As viewers of the Netflix "Tiger King" docuseries know, the big cat enthusiast who is the archnemesis of Joe Exotic, who is currently seeking a presidential pardon, has maintained her innocence since Lewis went missing in 1997 and was declared dead. John Phillips, the Don Lewis family lawyer representing all of his children and grandchildren--who appeared in an ad on ABC's "DWTS" demanding answers into their father's death and offering a $100,000 reward-- spoke to Nancy Grace in an exclusive interview on Fox Nation's "Crime Stories." New York City bus driver knocked out by passenger he told to wear a mask | TheHill – The Hill

A New York City bus driver was reportedly knocked out by an unmasked rider after he reminded the passenger to wear a face covering on public transit.  Anthony Reid says that a group of passengers complained on his last run in Brooklyn one night in July that a fellow rider was not wearing a face mask. After Reid, 62, pulled over and called the man out, he said that everything went dark.  “It was a calm exchange with him, but then he just knocked me out cold,” Reid told The New York Times in an interview published Friday. Reid said that he woke up in an ambulance with the taste of blood in his mouth and a swollen eye. The paramedics told him that the mask-less rider had attacked him from behind.  New York has begun to emerge from a strict set of lockdown and mitigation measures...

WHO says the coronavirus is killing about 50,000 people a week: That is not where we want to be – CNBC

The World Health Organization warned Friday that the coronavirus is "not going away," noting that it's still killing about 50,000 people a week.  "That is not where we want to be," Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO's health emergencies program, said of Covid-19 deaths during a news conference at the agency's Geneva headquarters. "It's not where the Northern Hemisphere wants to be going into the winter season. It's not where developing countries want to be with their health services under nine months of pressure." Ryan said the virus still has a "long way to burn." WHO officials said they are beginning to see "worrying trends" in the number of Covid-19 cases, ICU admissions and hospitalizations in the Northern Hemisphere as it enters the colder seasons. "It has not bu...

A majority of Americans would back a national lockdown in the future to help curb the spread of coronavirus, according to an exclusive Newsweek poll, which also revealed that many fear the worst of the pandemic is still yet to come. The survey of 2,500 registered U.S. voters found that more than half of people (52 percent) would be in favor of a nationwide shutdown to halt the disease. Just 24 percent said they would oppose or strongly oppose the imposition of another lockdown. Respondents were evenly split on whether the country had turned the corner with the pandemic, with more than a third (38 percent) of people believing the virus was now under control and 37 percent saying exactly the opposite. Redfield & Wilton Strategies conducted the poll for Newsweek between September 16 to 1...
