Drew Barrymore, ex-husband Tom Green reunite after 15 years of not speaking – Fox News

Drew Barrymore got incredibly emotional during a recent reconnection with her ex-husband Tom Green after 15 years of not seeing or speaking with him. The “50 First Dates” star, 45, reunited with the funnyman on the Friday edition of her talk show “The Drew Barrymore Show” and fought tears as she explained to Green, 49, “I think the world of you and I celebrate you and I always have and always will.” Green glowed as Barrymore exuded her sentiment and he made it a point to memorialize the touching moment. “I was so happy when you invited me on the show,” he said. “It’s been too long … We really did not talk for about 15 years.” DREW BARRYMORE SAYS SHE'LL 'NEVER GET MARRIED AGAIN' American actress Drew Barrymore and her boyfriend American comedian Tom Green attend the film pre...

Coronavirus in Oregon: officials announce highest daily case count since start of pandemic – OregonLive

The Oregon Health Authority announced 457 new confirmed or presumptive coronavirus cases and three new deaths on Friday, the highest single-day reported case count since the first person tested positive for the virus in February. Cases have been trending upward all week and were boosted Friday by an outbreak of 79 infections at Pacific Seafood in Clatsop County. The public health agency said the outbreak was first detected Sept. 15 but did not meet the threshold for public disclosure. On Friday, Dr. Dean Sidelinger, the state health officer and epidemiologist, said the uptick was also likely exacerbated by wildfires, which forced thousands to leave their homes and come in close proximity to each other, college students returning to campuses and gatherings where people may be tempted to d...

73 more people with COVID-19 in St. Louis County — a single-day record – Duluth News Tribune

Previously, the most cases the county recorded in a single day was 50, on Friday, Sept. 18. The uptick is unrelated to the new COVID-19 saliva testing site at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, according to St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services. All but one of the 73 newly diagnosed residents were tested before the site opened Wednesday. Public Health Division Director Amy Westbrook attributed the uptick to two "troubling" trends: outbreaks in long-term care facilities and a large number of cases linked to college-age students. Eighteen of the 73 newly diagnosed residents live in long-term care facilities around the county, while 19 are young adults between 18 and 24 years old. The ...

Mangrove Will Leave You Enraged, but Thats the Point – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Like Lover’s Rock, Mangrove, the first film chronologically in Steve McQueen‘s Small Axe series, begins with a song. Based on a true story, the film opens in 1968. We meet Frank Crichlow (Shaun Parkes), a self-assured Black man who smokes and plays card games in a vibrant room with other men. The liveliness and color he’s initially surrounded with fade into a muted neutral color as he descends up into London’s streets and walks forward into the community of Notting Hill. Frank is on a mission. Having closed his previous establishment that appeared to be a catch-all of questionable activity, including numbers running and a meeting place for alleged criminals, he’s ready to open his Mangrove restaurant. A Trinidadian-born Londoner, Frank is proud to serve dishes and deliver ...

First man cured of HIV infection now has terminal cancer – New York Post

Timothy Ray Brown, the first person known to have been cured of HIV infection, says he is now terminally ill from a recurrence of the cancer that prompted his historic treatment 12 years ago. Brown, dubbed “the Berlin patient” because of where he lived at the time, had a transplant from a donor with a rare, natural resistance to the AIDS virus. For years, that was thought to have cured his leukemia and his HIV infection and he still shows no signs of HIV. But in an interview with the Associated Press, Brown said his cancer returned last year and has spread widely. He’s receiving hospice care where he now lives in Palm Springs, California. “I’m still glad that I had it,” Brown said of his transplant. “It opened up doors that weren’t there before” and inspired scientists to ...
