Takeuchi Yuko, Japanese Actress, Dies at 40 – Variety

Japanese actress Takeuchi Yuko was found dead by her husband, actor Nakabayashi Taiki, in their Tokyo apartment early Sunday morning. Forty years old at the time of her death, she was the mother of two, including an infant boy who was born in January. While Takeuchi left no note, death by suicide is being presumed. If that is confirmed Takeuchi’s demise would follow other recent suicides by well-known Japanese talents, including actress Ashina Sei earlier this month, actor Miura Harumi in July and reality TV star Kimura Hana in May. Researchers at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) analyzed data from 235 people who were admitted to the hospital with Covid-19. They found that patients older than 40 years old were 51.5 percent less likely to die from the infection if they had a sufficient level of Vitamin D, which they define as being at least 30 ng/mL. San Antonio, Bexar County reports 100 new COVID-19 cases, one new virus-related death – KSAT San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District announced 54,295 total COVID-19 cases and 1,074 total deaths in Bexar County, as of Saturday, an increase of 100 new cases. One new death was reported today. The 7-day moving average of cases is 162, as of Friday. City officials also reported a slight uptick in hospitalization numbers. Health officials said there are currently 228 patients are hospitalized. Of those, 85 are in the intensive care unit and 30 are on ventilators. WAUSAU (WAOW)- The Marathon County Health Department is investigating a COVID exposure which involves many area youths. They say a young person was playing basketball with several other youth at Tenth Street Park, 935 Jackson Street in Wausau on Friday September 18th. It was reported that the youth were present for a period for about six hours and many participated in the basketball games. One of the youth participating tested positive for COVID. The Health Department said prevenative measures to reduce the spread of COVID were apparently not used.
