Brad Pitt Steps Out With German Model Nicole Poturalski While in France – E! NEWS

Outside of his dating life, Brad has recently been in the news in regards to his and Angelina Jolie's very public divorce. While they broke up in 2016, they have yet to finalize their divorce. In a rare interview, Angelina opened up about what led to her and Brad's split after two years of marriage. "I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing," she told Vogue India in June. "Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds."  She added, "In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people." The couple shares Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. ...

Blood thinners may increase coronavirus survival by 50%, decrease intubations 30%: Study – Fox News

Anticoagulants may increase survival rates in coronavirus cases and decrease the need for intubations, according to a study released Wednesday. Patients on a therapeutic dose of anticoagulants, or blood thinners, which was defined as a full dose, by the study's authors, and those on a prophylactic, or lower, doses of the blood-thinning medication had a reduced risk of death by 50% in patients infected with novel coronavirus and decreased need for intubations by 30%, according to the observational study by a team of Mount Sinai researchers in New York that was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. “Clearly, anticoagulation is associated with improved outcomes and bleeding rates appear to be low,” corresponding author Dr. Anu Lala, an assistant professor of med...

COVID-19 Statistics | Aug. 26, 2020 – Lost Coast Outpost

Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center: Humboldt County’s total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases now stands at 361, after one additional case was reported today. Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich said that reporting only one case for two days is welcome relief from recent periods of rapid increase. “Two days is not a trend, but once again, I want to thank the community for helping to keep our case counts favorable compared to many areas of the state and nation,” she said. “We all benefit when we are able to slow transmission of this virus, and doing so takes all of us remaining committed to wearing facial coverings, avoiding gatherings outside of our household units and practicing physical distancing at all times in public.” Today’...

CBS pads its fall lineup with Star Trek: Discovery and One Day at a Time – Engadget

With most productions on hold thanks to quarantine, networks are starving for original content to fill out their fall lineups. In the case of CBS this means dipping into the well of anything that may have finished shooting before lockdown began — even if it was originally intended for streaming. This fall will see the network debut of the One Day at a Time reboot, as well as the return of Star Trek: Discovery to broadcast television. The new version of One Day at a Time, following the adventures of a Cuban-American family in Los Angeles, has had a turbulent history. It started life as a Netflix series, before being cancelled by the streaming service when the third season didn’t pick up viewership quickly enough. A social media campaign involving prod...

Cardi Bs WAP causes controversy on military TikTok – Military Times

Cardi B’s “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, took the internet by force when it was released on Aug. 7. Zoomers and millennials alike took to TikTok to dance provocatively to the wildly catchy but arguably profane song. One such TikTok, purportedly two female soldiers dancing to the tune, has sparked military twitter outrage and a larger discussion about what women can or should be doing on social media while in uniform, a debate that has unearthed a double standard that doesn’t appear to apply to male service members. The user, Kamrynvison01, who appears to be in the Army, is featured with a fellow soldier doing what a majority of TikTok users do: dancing to the most popular songs of the day. This particular ditty, however, which features the polarizing lyric, “wet-ass p****, make...

The Batman Trailer Reactions from Zack Snyder and Kevn Smith – /FILM

The first trailer for The Batman debuted during DC FanDome last weekend, and the response was overwhelmingly positive for the vision director Matt Reeves has put forth so far. It’s dark, but also unlike any of the other Batman movies that came before. There’s a noir realism to the proceedings reminiscent of David Fincher, and two of Batman’s biggest fans have given their seal of approval. Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder and The Dark Knight aficionado Kevin Smith both had very favorable reactions to our first glimpse at The Batman, and you can read what they had to say below. Zack Snyder had a big day himself during DC FanDome where he unveiled the first trailer for his awaited director’s cut of Justice League. Reel ...

Southeastern Bar, other Auburn businesses choose to temporarily close doors – AL.com

Four days after hundreds of students packed into its walls for a Saturday night of drinks, music and dancing, Southeastern chose to shut down its business “out of an abundance of caution.” According to a press release sent out Wednesday, the bar has been closely following the information coming from East Alabama Medical Center, the Auburn University Medical Clinic and the City of Auburn since it reopened its doors in May. It said it stands ready to change its practices based on guidelines from the CDC, the state and the National Restaurant Federation. When Auburn students and community members partied at Southeastern during the first week of classes, Alabama was still under Governor Kay Ivey’s statewide mask mandate that required everyone over the age of six to wear a mask when in a publ...
