4 new Covid-19 deaths reported in Monterey County on Saturday – KSBW Monterey

The Monterey County Health Department reported 4 new Covid-19 deaths on Saturday. All of the deaths were adults. Of the 4 deaths, 2 had significant underlying medical conditions. The county has said no more information about the cases will be released at this time. With the 4 new deaths it now brings the total Covid-19 death toll in the county to 30. Monterey County also reported 155 new confirmed cases on Saturday bringing the total to 4,697 cases. They also reported 10 more people were hospitalized due to the virus.According to the state of California Monterey county has a 10.1% test positivity rate in the last 14 days. Montana passes 4,000 total COVID-19 cases on Saturday – KPAX-TV

Health officials added 106 new COVID-19 cases to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map Saturday morning, with 1,359 cases reported as active. The highest number of new reported cases on Saturday is 30 in Yellowstone County. Gallatin County had the second-highest new case count with 19. Note: Numbers reported by the state each day occasionally differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic lag times in reporting data to the state. California recorded 214 coronavirus-related deaths on Friday, a record-setting daily total that capped a month of rising fatalities amid a surge of new COVID-19 cases. It marked the fifth time in July that California broke its single-day record for deaths, and the third time this week. The previous record of 176 was just set on Wednesday. The average number of daily COVID-19 deaths in California for the seven days that ended Friday was 127. Last week, the number was 104. Officials announced Friday that a teenager in the Central Valley had died of causes related to COVID-19, becoming the first juvenile death from the disease in California.
