Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson split – Page Six

No more bikini-clad TikTok dances by the pool for Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson. A music insider revealed to Page Six that the pair have called it quits. Cyrus seemingly teased the breakup on Instagram while promoting her self-directed video for her latest single, “Midnight Sky.” The pop star captioned a photo earlier this week: “Forever and ever no more. The #MidnightSky is the road I’m taking … head up high in the clouds.” Cyrus and Simpson were first linked together in October after Cyrus’ brief romance with Kaitlynn Carter, whom she moved on with following her split from her husband of eight months, Liam Hemsworth. Their divorce was finalized in January. A rep for Cyrus did not get back to us.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD finale: What happened in the end was an anti-Endgame – Polygon

After seven seasons and 136 episodes, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has finally come to an end. This final season saw the team travel through time, then fight Chronicoms and HYDRA in a new timeline that quickly went off the rails. That’s a big task in and of itself, but the finale succeeds thanks to doing what the show is best at: being completely absurd, but totally earnest. [Ed. note: This contains spoilers for the seventh season of SHIELD, including the two-part finale, “The End is Always at Hand/What We’re Fighting For.”] Behold, the deus Fitz machina As the finale opens, things aren’t looking good for the Agents. They’re still in 1983 and there’s nothing left of SHIELD but their group and a ragtag group of survivors. The only hope lies in Leo Fitz, who the Chronicoms and N...

Coronavirus pandemic leading to depression and drinking, CDC says | TheHill – The Hill

Americans are struggling to cope with the coronavirus pandemic after months of harsh lockdowns, widespread disease and economic suffering that has fallen disproportionately on the young, minorities and those who are most vulnerable to financial shocks. A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) finds the number of Americans reporting adverse mental health or behavioral changes — like drinking or drug use — on a perilous rise in recent months. About a quarter of Americans reported symptoms of an anxiety disorder, three times higher than what a similar survey found a year ago. Those reporting depression has quadrupled, to nearly a quarter. About 13 percent of Americans said they were drinking or using drugs more because of the stress of the pandemic. An...
