CHICAGO (WLS) -- All children who are 2 and older, including the vast majority of kids with underlying health conditions, can safely wear masks, according to new guidance just released by the American Academy of Pediatrics. "Masks are safe for children to wear and we recommend them," said Dr. Alison Tothy, spokesperson with the AAP. "They are going to keep your kids safe from infections, especially when they are around other kids." In fact, dozens of children have been safely attending classes at El Valor's early childhood program. El Valor serves 2,000 children in the Chicago area at four different sites, including the Carlos Cantu Children & Family Center in Little Village. The kids have been wearing face coverings for about eight weeks, said Nina Dueñas, El Valor's Senior Vice Pres...

The 98 Longest Lasting COVID Symptoms You Need to Know About – MSN Money

A growing number of COVID survivors are reporting experiencing symptoms long after their CDC-recommended two-week self-isolation period passes. Recently Survivor Corps—a Facebook group that connects COVID-19 survivors with medical, scientific, and academic research communities—and Natalie Lambert, MD, surveyed 1,567 long-haulers (people with long-term COVID symptoms) about the symptoms they have experienced. Cut From the Same Cloth

Fashion Text by Akanksha Pandey Looking at a piece of clothing made from home-grown fabric, I am reminded of the practices our ancestors followed for centuries. The same white cotton cloth that is a signifier of birth and death symbolised a movement during the fight for Independence, and khadi becomes art when woven with other natural fibers and precious when infused with gold, silver or strands of silk. Indian handicrafts are a valuable art form and intrinsic to the fabric of our nation. Although the techniques differ as you move from north to south and east to west, their diverseness is what unites them, and they provide both an outlet for creativity and a source of income to ge...

New Miley Cyrus song declares ‘I don’t belong to anyone’ just hours after Cody Simpson split – Yahoo Entertainment

Just hours before Cyrus’s “Midnight Sky” single and its glitzy video dropped Thursday night, news broke of the Cyrus/Simpson split. The pop star, 27, and the Australian singer/actor/model, 23, had first been romantically linked back in October 2019, two months after Cyrus’s separation from her husband Liam Hemsworth. The couple seemed close, even getting coordinating tattoos, and earlier this month, Simpson had declared, "In love with my best friend" in his Instagram Stories, referring to Cyrus. ...

Tokyo has a drive-in haunted house. And its terrifying – CNN

Tokyo (CNN) — We can all agree that screaming is a pivotal part of a great haunted house experience. But at a time when exhalation is discouraged because of the Covid-19 pandemic, a Japanese company has created an attraction that follows social distancing guidelines yet remains absolutely terrifying -- a drive-in haunted house. Kowagarasetai, a Japanese haunted house and horror event production company, claims the concept is the first of its kind. "With the virus, I knew there would be no way we could have a traditional haunted house, with all that screaming in a small confined space," Kenta Iwana, Kowagarasetai's founder, tells CNN Travel. "When I read that drive-through theaters were making a comeback, it was my 'aha' moment." Stuck in a pitch-black, zombie-infested garage The haun...
