DC Universe Original TV Series Will Be Moving to HBO Max, Says DC CCO – TVLine

RELATED STORIES Dick Grayson may be getting a new place to hang his domino mask. To the surprise of perhaps no one, it appears that all DC Universe original series are relocating to HBO Max, DC Chief Content Officer Jim Lee shared in an interview published on Friday. “The original content that is on DCU is migrating to HBO Max,” Lee shared in a THR Q&A that was pegged to the larger shakeup and massive layoffs currently going on at the iconic comics publisher. “Truthfully, that’s the best platform for that content,” Lee explained. “The amount of content you get, not just DC [shows], but generally from WarnerMedia, is huge and it’s the best value proposition.” (HBO Max currently fetches $14.99/month, whereas DC Universe is $7.99.) As for the digitized backlist of D...

Tekashi 6ix9ine Dangerously TOSSES Thousands Of Dollars In The Air On The Streets Of LA!! – The Blast

"The rat got LA acting like roaches," one upset resident posted after watching people fight over the cash. As we reported, Tekashi is getting heat for showing up to the block Nipsey Hussle was killed to 'pay his respects.' To many, it was a major sign of disrespect, especially considering Nipsey's killer and the deceased rapper were reportedly having a conversation about snitching before he was murdered. "Nipsey would b fuming 🐀," one person wrote. Bottom line, it appears Tekashi's trip has been a success so far, and most people just want their picture taken with the rapper. At this point, he has had no issues with any people targeting him for the cash he is flashing, or his turning state's evidence.

Why are Dallas Countys COVID-19 numbers going down before the rest of the states? – The Dallas Morning News

Dallas County health officials have reported a downward trend of COVID-19 cases and deaths this month after a peak of at least 1,000 cases each day for more than two weeks in mid-July. But Dallas County’s improvement isn’t being replicated across the state. As a whole, Texas has yet to experience a consistent decline in cases, and deaths are still on the rise statewide. The seemingly conflicting numbers raise questions about whether both trends are possible as the number of Texans seeking COVID-19 tests drops and health experts stress people should continue wearing masks and social distancing. Here’s what you need to know. Why don’t Dallas’ trends match the rest of the state? Health experts say it’s possible for some areas to improve during the COVID-19 pandemic, even if the overall sta...

Some neck gaiters may be worse than not wearing a mask at all, study shows – CBS News

Using thin, stretchy neck gaiters as a face covering might be ineffective at stopping the spread of the coronavirus, and could even spread the virus further than not wearing a covering at all, according to a new study. Researchers from Duke University found that the neck gaiter they tested was "worse than nothing."  "The neck gaiter that we tested did essentially nothing, and worse than nothing, because it appeared to make large droplets into small droplets," Isaac Henrion, the study's co-author, told CBS News. Henrion is also the coordinator of Cover Durham, a community project to distribute tens of thousands of masks to vulnerable people. The experiment involved only a small number of speakers and face coverings, and the researchers stressed that more testing is needed — some gai...

Khloe Kardashian Debuts Chic New Hairstyle Alongside Tristan Thompson After Kylie Jenners Birthday Trip – E! NEWS

A mom cut but make it fashion. Earlier this week, Khloe Kardashian sported a chic, brunette bob as she returned from sister Kylie Jenner's 23rd birthday getaway in Turks and Caicos. And while the new 'do is incredibly fashionable, it appears to be practical as well. Khloe, who was wearing streetwear, sunglasses and a mask, was seen taking care of both her daughter True Thompson and her luggage after deplaning. Thankfully, True's dad Tristan Thompson was present to help carry the load. Nonetheless, we can't say we're surprised Khloe is giving this bob a try. In July, Khloe opened up to Daily Pop's Justin Sylvester about the hurdles she's faced while parenting in quarantine. Namely, it's been hard to keep her toddler constantly entertained during this time of self-isolation. She s...

Ewan McGregor Splitting Star Wars Royalties in Divorce – TMZ

Ewan McGregor and his ex-wife have finally reached the end of their divorce case ... and we've learned the actor is parting ways with half of his royalties from the 'Star Wars' prequels. According to the divorce judgment, the judge signed off on Ewan and Eve's split of the property from their 22-year marriage ... and they'll be splitting royalties and residuals from the projects Ewan worked on during the marriage. That includes FOUR 'Star Wars' movies, which it's fair to say amounts to a LOT of dough. To give you some perspective, the 3 prequels each earned between $649 million to more than $1 billion -- although it's unclear if his royalties include back end ... a cut of the box office. Of course, he's also starred in "Angels &am...

Coronavirus lockdowns could make a comeback as U.S. struggles – NBC News

It can seem to public health officials that giving an inch means people will take a mile. In the months since most U.S. states emerged from coronavirus lockdowns, wearing a mask has become a matter of politics more than safety, “pandemic parties” have been broken up in California, New York and Florida, and many states that forged ahead with reopening plans in May have been forced to pause or reverse the orders. It’s in this fraught climate that public health experts are saying that if other less-extreme measures are not working or being ignored, another round of lockdowns — as politically unpopular as they may be — may be the only way to keep an already-dire situation from spiraling further out of control. “We understand there’s no appetite for these extreme measures, but we’re on a col...
