Walt Disney World Resort Clarifies Face Mask Policy; Bans Masks with Valves or Holes – wdwnt.com

Since the opening of Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, many guests have been confused about the official face-covering policy. Many wondered things like, “can I wear a gaiter mask to a theme park?” It appears the policy has officially be clarified, and Disney is now banning masks with valves or holes. As it reads on the Know Before You Go webpage, all face coverings must: Be made with at least two layers of breathable material Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands free At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters and open-chin triangle bandanas are not acceptable face coverings. Harry and Meghan felt snubbed by Queen during her Christmas speech: book – Page Six

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle felt snubbed by Queen Elizabeth II during her high-profile Christmas speech — seeing it as proof they were being pushed out of the royal family, according to a new book. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex felt they were “noticeably absent” from the family photos surrounding the Queen as she spoke from Buckingham Palace, according to an extract of “Finding Freedom” published in The Times of London. The rest of the senior royals — including Harry’s brother William and his family, along with the princes’ father, Prince Charles — were there proudly on display. Already feeling they had “long been sidelined by the institution” of the monarchy, they saw it as proof that they were “not a fundamental part of its future,” according to the book. “For Harry ...

(Photo: Getty Images)As scientists work on finding effective treatments against COVID-19, one new study confirms previous research that shows the drug hydroxychloroquine isn’t the answer. In the study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) and funded in part by the pharmaceutical company EMS Pharma, researchers looked at the effectiveness of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine and the antibiotic azithromycin in treating COVID-19 patients. Hospitalized patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 were randomly assigned to receive standard care for the disease (such as the use of glucocorticoids, antibiotic ...

Vitamin D helps the body fight coronavirus, major Israeli study claims – The Times of Israel

Good levels of vitamin D, the so-called sunshine vitamin, help people to fight the coronavirus more quickly and effectively and reduce chances of hospitalization, Israeli researchers have concluded. However, others are cautioning broad conclusions, saying other factors may be involved. Milana Frenkel-Morgenstern of Bar Ilan University told The Times of Israel on Sunday that vitamin D is “like a steroid,” after publishing what she says is the world’s largest population-based study of its kind. Italys Giglio Island sees zero residents with coronavirus: Nobody is sick – Fox News

Questions abound as a tiny Italian island has been mostly spared from the devastations of COVID-19. Were people on Giglio Island perhaps infected but didn’t show symptoms? Was it something genetic? Something else, or just plain luck? None of Giglio’s roughly 800 close-knit islanders said they developed COVID-19 symptoms even though the conditions seemed favorable for the disease to spread like wildfire, as The Associated Press reported. The Gigliesi, as the residents are known, have socialized in the steep alleys near the port or on the granite steps serving as narrow streets in the hilltop Castle neighborhood, with densely packed homes built against the remnants of a fortress erected centuries ago to protect against pirates. Giglio Island has seen zero cases of coronavirus,...

Charlize Theron Recalls Unfair Treatment On The Italian Job, Shades Mark Wahlberg – HuffPost

Mark Wahlberg might need to pencil in some extra gym time in his famously unhinged daily schedule if he wants to keep up with Charlize Theron.  The “Old Guard” star has cemented herself as one of the foremost action stars around, but she long had to prove that she could run faster, kick harder and drive better than her male co-stars. Take for instance, the 2003 remake of “The Italian Job,” for which Theron recently revealed she was scheduled to train for six weeks longer than her male co-stars, including Wahlberg, Jason Statham and Edward Norton. “There was a real pressure to pull off those stunts with the actors. … There was a very unfair process that went with that,” Theron said in a Comic-Con at Home career retrospective Friday. “I was the only woman with a bunch of guys, and I...
