The Ellen DeGeneres Show is under investigation following numerous accounts of a 'toxic' and 'bullying' workplace culture. An internal investigation is being launched by WBTV-owner WarnerMedia's employee relations group and a third party firm, Variety reported Monday, to look into staff experiences on set. Employees received a memo last week from executives at producer Telepictures and distributor Warner Bros. Television explaining that current and former staffers will be interviewed. The memo cited recent articles about treatment of crew, with allegations of mistreatment, racism and intimidation on the show as the impetus for the investigation, according to Variety. More than a dozen members of the same family in Texas have tested positive for the coronavirus following a family gathering where most if not all attendees did not wear masks. A family member told NBC News in an interview that one person has died and another is on life support after a party in mid-June led to 14 members of the family testing positive for the virus. Tony Green, who hosted the party for his parents, told NBC that he woke up with symptoms the morning after the gathering. "We just felt the worst was behind the country because everything was easy, things were reopening and none of us were experiencing any symptoms," he told NBC. Coronavirus hospitalizations among children rise by 23 percent in Florida | TheHill – The Hill

Coronavirus hospitalizations among children in Florida rose by more than 20 percent over a period of eight days in July as schools prepare to reopen across the state despite a sustained surge in infections.  Florida health authorities released data showing that 303 children below the age of 18 were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of July 24. On July 16, 246 children had been hospitalized because of the disease, marking a 23 percent increase. Cases among children also experienced a significant surge. According to the Florida Health Department, 31,150 confirmed cases as of July 24 were children. DHSS reports first COVID-19 death in the YK Delta; bringing the total to 21 deaths in Alaskan residents – KTUU.com

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports one new COVID-19 death and 98 new COVID-19 cases among Alaska residents. According to a news release from the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, YKHC saw it’s first hospitalization and medevac of a COVID-positive person. YKHC says they were aware of the positive case through testing done in Bethel. The person remained in self-isolation and was being monitored. The news release says the person’s condition worsened and later died due to complications related to COVID-19. DHSS reports 584 total nonresidents have tested positive for COVID-19.
