A Hamptons concert by The Chainsmokers where fans allegedly flouted social distancing guidelines is being investigated by Gov. Cuomo’s office and has been slammed by the state health commissioner who’s demanding answers, Page Six has learned. The Water Mill charity drive-in show on Saturday had drive-in parking spots that reportedly went for up to $25,000 a pop, and featured a performance by DJ duo The Chainsmokers, as well as opening acts including Southampton’s Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman’s band and Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon (a k a DJ D-Sol). The event was meant to have “safe zones” for cars with up to six people. Meghan Markle, Prince Harry were a little bit naive to hope for privacy in Los Angeles, royal expert says – Fox News

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have been somewhat unprepared for the lack of privacy that their move to Los Angeles has brought them. The two are reported to have moved to Los Angeles in March, a few months after their historic "Megxit" announcement and stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Since announcing financial independence from the royal family, the cost of their security -- and who would front it -- has come into question. PRINCE HARRY 'HAD FALLOUTS WITH HIS OWN CIRCLE' OVER MEGHAN MARKLE 'PREJUDICE,' BOOK CLAIMS "I think one of the big concerns when the couple moved to Los Angeles was security, at least, who was going to pay for that security. It's my understanding that they're renting Tyler Perry's home, which comes with its own security entourage," royal...

Coronavirus: How it turned the tables on Ghanas diaspora – BBC News

Image copyright Getty Images In our series of letters from African writers, journalist and former Ghana government minister Elizabeth Ohene writes about how the prospect of living abroad has lost its attraction in the time of coronavirus. We used to say here in Ghana, half in jest, half in truth, that you can find a Ghanaian in every country in the world. I've heard of Ghanaians in Greenland, Iceland and Papua New Guinea. I admit, I haven't heard about a Ghanaian in the Faroe Islands, which is my idea of the most exotic and faraway place, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of us is there. From the middle of the 1970s through to the end of the 1990s, circumstances had conspired...

Coronavirus in Oregon: 340 new cases statewide, record for Multnomah County – OregonLive

The Oregon Health Authority reported 340 new coronavirus cases statewide Monday, including a record-breaking 119 confirmed or presumed infections in Multnomah County. “This disease is widespread in Multnomah County,” Dr. Jennifer Vines, the county health officer, said during a news conference hours before the latest numbers were disclosed by state officials. Oregon’s most populous county expects to see increasing cases going forward, as each person with COVID-19 may infect, on average, about 1.5 others, county officials said. “My expectation is that cases will continue to increase simply based on what we know right now,” Vines said, adding that she hopes the pace of rising infections will slow eventually if residents heed physical distancing recommendations. Coronavirus cases statewide ...
